The method includes triggering an autonomous uplink confirmation in response to receiving the autonomous uplink command. Abstract: Provided is a wireless communication terminal that wirelessly communicates with a base wireless communication terminal. The wireless communication terminal includes a transceiver, and a processor. The processor is configured to set an integer selected from a range of 0 to a value equal to or smaller than an OFDMA Contention Window (OCW) as a counter for random access, receive a trigger frame for triggering random access using one or more resource units (RUs) allocated for the random access from the base wireless communication terminal using the transceiver, decrement a value of the counter based on the one or more RUs allocated for the random access, randomly select one RU based on the one or more RUs allocated for the random access when the value of the counter is 0 or reaches 0, and attempt transmission to the base wireless communication terminal using the selected RU.

Abstract: A method for routing and switching operator RF signals includes providing one or more Digital Remote Units (DRUs) and providing at least one Digital Access Unit (DAU) configured to communicate with at least one of the one or more DRUs. A first DRU is operable to communicate using a first set of frequencies characterized by a first frequency band over a first geographic footprint and a second set of frequencies characterized by a second frequency band different from the first frequency band over a second geographic footprint including and surrounding the first geographic footprint. A second DRU is operable to communicate using the first set of frequencies over a third geographical footprint and a third set of frequencies characterized by a third frequency band different from the first frequency band and the second frequency band over a fourth geographic footprint including and surrounding the third geographic footprint.

Abstract: A first layer one link aggregation master comprises a first port coupled to receive customer traffic; a first channel; a second channel; an aggregation engine coupled to the first and second channels; a first switch circuit coupled to the first port and to the first channel, and configured to communicate the customer traffic from the first port over the first channel to the aggregation engine, the aggregation engine including a splitter circuit configured to use layer one information to segment at least a portion of the customer traffic into a first virtual container and a second virtual container, the aggregation engine further including an encapsulation circuit configured to encapsulate the second virtual container using Ethernet standards for transport over the second channel; a radio access card configured to generate an air frame based on the first virtual container for wireless transmission over a first wireless link of a link aggregation group to the receiver; and a second switch circuit coupled to the second channel, and configured to communicate the Ethernet-encapsulated second virtual container over an Ethernet cable to a slave for wireless transmission over a second wireless link of the link aggregation group to the receiver.

Abstract: Techniques for performing forward error correction of data to be transmitted over an optical communications channel. The techniques include: receiving data bits; organizing the data bits into an arrangement having a plurality of blocks organized into rows and columns and into a plurality of strands including a first strand of blocks that includes a back portion comprising a first row of the plurality of blocks, and a front portion comprising blocks from at least two different columns in at least two different rows other than the first row of blocks; and encoding at least some of the data bits in the arrangement using a first error correcting code at least in part by generating first parity bits by applying the first error correcting code to first data bits in the front portion of the first strands and second data bits in the back portion of the first strand.

Abstract: Disclosed is a base station which transmits and retransmits to a terminal first and second downlink data in first and second component carriers, respectively, wherein a first configuration pattern of UL (uplink) and DL (downlink) subframes is set for the first component carrier and a second configuration pattern of UL and DL subframes is set for the second component carrier. The base station receives from the terminal in the first component carrier an ACK/NACK for the first and second downlink data received by the terminal, which stores retransmission data of the first and second downlink data in a soft buffer, wherein the soft buffer for the second downlink data is sized according to a maximum number of downlink HARQ retransmission processes executable in a reference configuration pattern of UL and DL subframes, and the reference configuration pattern is determined according to the first and second configuration patterns.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are provided for encoding code blocks for transmission in a wireless communication system. An example encoding method in a wireless communication system includes determining, for one or more code blocks of a transport block, that at least one of a plurality of criteria is met, wherein the plurality of criteria includes that a coding rate (R) is less than or equal to 1/4 or that a transport block size (TBS) is less than or equal to 3824 bits and the R is less than or equal to 2/3. The one or more code blocks are encoded using low-density parity-check (LDPC) base graph 2, wherein a maximum code block size is 3840 bits. The one or more encoded code blocks are transmitted over the wireless network.
