Abstract:
An information processor includes: a responding unit that transmits data including a predetermined password to a terminal apparatus to make a response to an inquiry from the terminal apparatus, without user operation; and a connection establishing unit that performs processing to establish connection in a case where a connection request using the predetermined password transmitted by the responding unit is accepted from the terminal apparatus, the connection request being regarded as a request to establish connection between the information processor and the terminal apparatus.
Abstract:
A scanner image-processing unit includes a scanner-property adjusting unit that converts image data from a scanner unit into normalized image data and a first image processing unit that performs a first image processing on the normalized image data to generate output image data. If a controller image-processing unit that performs a second image processing on the image data from the scanner unit is connected, a configuration control unit disables an operation of the first image processing unit and controls the controller image-processing unit to perform the second image processing on the normalized image data to generate the output image data.
Abstract:
In an electronic imaging apparatus, image information of an image signal photoelectrically converted from an image incident is stored in image information storing means in a format dependent upon a type of the applied storage device. Provided therein are communication means for transmitting and/or receiving image information generated in this apparatus or the other equivalent apparatuses while an operation mode of the apparatus is set for communication and switch means for causing the communication means to start a communication mode operation.
Abstract:
When a user logs in to an MFP (S200), places an original on a scanner, and instructs the MFP to start a process, the MFP scans the original to recognize characters and words, and creates a word appearance frequency list (S201). Thereafter, records (histories) contained in information about histories of jobs that were executed in the past are narrowed into histories that were executed by users having the same attribute as that of the login user (S202). Functions of jobs contained in identified histories are compared, and job histories having similar functions are grouped. Finally, functions and settings of remaining histories are displayed on a user interface (S204). When any of them is selected, a document is processed according to the selected function and setting (S205). Thereafter, a history of the job is stored (S206).

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for image compositing in an apparatus a device in which available memory is at a premium are disclosed. The apparatus includes a first memory that receives a video input signal, in multiple portions. The first memory has a storage capacity less than the entire video image. Data within the first memory is encoded to form encoded video image portions. The entire image is thus encoded, video image portion by video image portion. A second image is combined with image portions in the first memory prior encoding such video image portions. The apparatus may, for example, be an electronic component or components forming a video or image processing pipeline, used in a portable device.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus connectable to an external device includes a recording instruction module which instructs a recording, an imaging module which generates an image signal from an optical image, a memory module which stores the image signal generated by the imaging module, a connecting module which enables connection of the imaging apparatus to the external device, and a control module which controls wiring into the memory module and effects control of an operation of the recording instruction module or an operation responsive thereto.

Abstract:
A photographic system involves the collection of data from a scene, e.g., a visitor attraction site, that is capable of interactive communication with a user. The attraction site stores content data related to the site, and the user communicates with the attraction site through a camera capable of communication with the site. Besides capturing an image associated with the site, the camera stores predetermined personality data that relates an interest of the user to at least a portion of the content data and includes means for transferring the personality data to the attraction site. The camera further includes means for receiving and displaying the portion of the content data from the attraction site, and a user interface for selecting from the displayed content data that part which the user wants to keep. In this manner, information relevant to a user's interests about a photographed item can be easily requested, accessed and stored with the specific pictures that the user has captured.
