Abstract:
A method for automated cluster head mechanism in multicast communication over a multi-cluster wireless network, comprising designating, by an Enterprise Gateway, a best ranking client from a plurality of clients in a cluster of the multi-cluster wireless network, as a Cluster Head (102), announcing the Cluster Head, by the Enterprise Gateway, to the plurality of clients in the cluster (104) and assigning to the cluster, by the Enterprise Gateway, subscription of new clients of the multi-cluster wireless network (106). The method further comprising notifying, by the Cluster Head to the Enterprise Gateway once a maximum capacity is achieved (108) and receiving, by the Enterprise Gateway direct subscription of new client of the multi-cluster wireless network (110).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for propagating VLAN traffic over a wireless multi-hop network. The system (100) comprises of a physical ingress module (110), two labeller modules (120), two splitter modules (130), at least one virtual ingress module (140), at least one virtual egress module (150), a physical egress module (160), a virtual backhaul module (170), an interface virtualization module (180), and at least one dummy virtual module (190). The system (100) duplicates data packets received to transmit the data packet to the other systems (100) in the following hop.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method to allow multiple virtual local area network (VLAN) traffics to traverse over a wireless multi-hop network. The method is characterised by the steps of performing initialization phase, wherein the initialization phase includes exchanging media access control (MAC) addresses and Basic Service Set Identifications (BSSIDs) information between an access point (AP) (200) and a relay client (300); performing AP (200) to relay client (300) operation phase, wherein the AP (200) to relay client (300) operation phase includes transmitting a modified MAC address from AP (200) to the relay client (300); and performing relay client (300) to AP (200) operation phase, wherein the relay client (300) to AP (200) operation phase includes transmitting a modified transmitter MAC address at the packet header from relay client (300) to AP (200).
