The present invention relates to (2R,3R,4R,5R)-1,6-bis(4-(2,4,4-trimethylpentan-2-yl)phenoxy)hexane-2,3,4,5-tetraol which is a novel anti-cancer functional substance unknown until now and which is manufactured by being designed by using militarin of Cordyceps militaris, and identifies anti-cancer mechanism of the compound by using various assays. The compound has an excellent effect of providing a biopharmaceutical material as an anti-cancer drug.

A method of manufacturing a health supplementary food using ultra-fine powder of Cordyceps sinensis obtained is provided to maximize pharmacological activity such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effect and increase unsaturated fatty acid. Ultra-fine powder of Cordyceps sinensis is mixed with lactose in a weight ratio of 1:2 and granulated. The ultra-fine powder of Cordyceps sinensis is obtained by the steps of: drying Cordyceps sinensis at 125deg.C to a moisture content of 20% in a far infrared ray dryer in a first step and to a moisture content of less than 5% and grinding to a particle size of less than 44 micrometers at grinding speed of 80 to 90m/s.

The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory active composition containing a Beauveria sungii butanol fraction (BSBF) as an active ingredient. The BSBF according to the present invention inhibits the activation of NFkB by controlling the generation of NO caused by iNOS and COX-2 which are known as important factors of inflammatory reaction and by controlling the phoshorylation of IkB so that COX-2 expression is controlled. The BSBF also controls ROS generation so that the expressions of NFKB and p38 are controlled and inflammation can be effectively controlled.

An anti-inflammatory agent comprising cordyceps militaris extracts as an active ingredient is provided to suppress an inflammation-inducing material through the route of PI3k/AKT/IkB and the route of suppressing phosphorylation of p38 by using butanol fraction of methanol extract and cordycepin purified therefrom. A method for manufacturing butanol fraction for treating inflammation from Cordyceps militaris comprises the steps of: (a) melting methanol extract of Cordyceps militaris in water; (b) fractionating hexane, butanol, ethylacetate and water; and (c) removing solvent by decompressing the butanol fraction.
