Abstract: PURPOSE: A substrate cleaning device and a substrate cleaning method are provided to easily wash a substrate support unit for holding a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate support unit is contacted to the first area of the rear surface of a substrate to hold a substrate. A second substrate support unit is contacted to the second area of the rear surface of the substrate to hold the substrate. A first cleaning unit(21up) cleans the rear surface of the substrate by the first and the second substrate support unit. A second cleaning unit(21dw) washes the contact surface of the second substrate support unit touching the substrate. The first cleaning unit and the second cleaning unit are fixed using a cleaning support member(21sp).
