Abstract: A method and a system for classifying laundry are provided to recognize the clothes which is to be washed, by comparing the number of wear to washing date using an electron tag. A system for classifying laundry using an electron tag comprises a clothes(10b), a portable terminal unit(10d) having a first electron tag writer, a home server(10e), and a second electron tag writer. A clothes electron tag is attached to the clothes. The clothes electron tag stores number of wear and washing date information. The first electron writer adds number of wear to the clothes electron tag if a person wears the clothes. The home server sorts out the clothes to be washed and notifies the information to users by comparing information of the clothes electron tag to stored information of the clothes. The second electron tag writer initializes number of wear stored in the clothes electron tag when finishing a washing process, and stores the washing date.
