    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for measuring the moisture content of wood using a near-infrared spectrometry and a method for controlling carbonization degrees are provided to prevent the ignition of the wood using reflectance spectrums obtained by the near-infrared spectrometry. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the moisture content of wood using a near-infrared spectrometry is as follows: a step of manufacturing wood samples and radiating near-infrared rays to the wood samples (S1); a step of setting a measured temperature (S3) and measuring the variation of moisture content (S4); a step of measuring the reflectance spectrums of the samples with an optical probe (S2); a step of storing the reflectance spectrums detected by a detector through a computer (S5,S6); a step of mathematically preprocessing the reflectance spectrums in the computer (7); and a step of implementing a partial least square regression analysis of the mathematically preprocessed spectrums (S8).
