Abstract: PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Phlomis Radix extract is provided to ensure anti-oxidation effect and to improve and maintain health skin. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition having anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation effects contains 0.001-20 weight% of Phlomis Radix extract. The Phlomis Radix extract is obtained by extracting with purified water, alcohol, or mixture thereof. A method for manufacturing the Phlomis Radix extract comprises a step of washing dried Phlomis Radix and immersing Phlomis Radix in 1-30 times of purified water to extract at 30-150°C for 0.5-10 hours. The cosmetic composition is used in the form of cream, lotion, skin, essence, pack, soap, cleansing foam, emulsion, gel, or cosmetic liquid.
