    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for protecting reduction-sensitive disperse (dispersion) dyes from reduction in the course of dyeing and/or printing, which is characterised in that the dyebaths or print pastes are admixed with compounds of the formula I where R is fluorine, chlorine or bromine, R , R , R and R are independently of each other hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, phenoxy, C1-C4-alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyl, arylsulphonyloxy, aryloxysulphonyl, hydroxyl, C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C4-alkylcarbonyloxy, C1-C4-alkylcarbonyl, phenylcarbonyl, amino, C1-C4-alkylcarbonylamino, fluorine, chlorine, bromine or nitro, X is -SO2-, -SO2O-, -SO2NH- or , and n is 1 or 2.

    Abstract: Dye mixtures, containing dyes of the formula I I where X is hydrogen, chlorine or bromine, R1 is hydrogen, methoxy, ethoxy or phenoxy, R2 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or iso-propyl and R is where R3 is allyl, methallyl, crotonyl, prenyl or benzyl, R4 is C1-C5-alkyl, allyl, methallyl, crotonyl, prenyl or benzyl and R4 is C1-C5-alkyl, the mixtures containing not less than 60% of dyes wherein R is or NHC2H4CN, from 0 to 40% of one or more dyes wherein R is and from 0 to 40% of one or more dyes wherein R is the two last-mentioned components accounting for not less than 5% of the mixture. The mixtures are exceptionally useful for dyeing polyesters.

The dyes of the formula I are very suitable for dyeing synthetic textile materials, especially polyesters.
