    Abstract: Polyurethane synthesis composition using a polymeric emulsifier having a backbone consisting of a copolymer of 4-12C unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or anhydrides and 2-40C olefins, with polyoxyalkylene side chains derived from 2-20C oxiranes. A polyurethane (PU) synthesis composition containing, as emulsifier, a polymer (T) with (at least) a copolymer backbone (TR) derived from 4-12 carbon(C) unsaturated dicarboxylic acid(s) and/or their anhydrides (TR1) and 2-40 C olefin(s) (TR2), and having polyalkylene oxide side chain (TP) derived from 2-20 C oxirane(s) (TP1), together with at least two compounds (a) comprising at least two reactive hydrogen atoms, at least one of which is insoluble. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a process for the production of synthesis composition by contacting the components in presence of a polymer; (b) a PU synthesis composition obtained; (c) a polyurethane obtained by bringing the synthesis composition into contact with a polyisocyanate; and (d) moldings, fibers, coatings, paint, sheets and a foam made from the PU compositions.

    Abstract: A polyisocyanate-polyaddition product is prepared by reaction of isocyanates (i) with compounds reactive to isocyanates in the presence of catalysts, propellants, additives and/or adjuvants, and (ii) at least one acid and/or at least one non-anhydride acid derivative. Independent claims are included for: (1) A mixture containing (i) at least one isocyanate and (ii) at least one acid and/or non-anhydride acid derivative, in which (ii) is present in amount 0.01-20 wt.% on the wt. of mixture, and the acid groups or derivative groups of (ii) are present in molar excess to the amines optionally present in the mixture; (2) A polyisocyanate-polyaddition product obtainable as above.
