Abstract:
A treatment device for an animal's hoof including a protective boot having a flexible, generally hollow covering adapted to fit over a hoof, and an insert pad member. The insert pad includes a first surface having a first density and a second, oppositely disposed surface having a second density. The insert pad is adapted to be positioned inside the boot and to receive a medicament thereon.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of reduced-size vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles (UVs) are disclosed herein. In at least some embodiments, the vehicles include frames that are wider near the front and rear sections of the vehicles than within the mid-sections of the vehicles. This, in combination with the use of shock-absorbers that are substantially vertically oriented, allows for the opening-up of large interior cavities within the front and rear sections of the vehicles within which can be positioned large front and rear internal compartments that can provide storage/carrying capacity as well as added buoyancy for the vehicle, among other things. Also, in at least some embodiments, the vehicles can include special cooling and/or exhaust systems having components that are positioned substantially within the mid-sections of the vehicles, thus further increasing the amounts of space available for the cavities/compartments within the front and rear sections of the vehicles.
Abstract:
A vehicle drivetrain (110) includes an engine (122) with a vertical crankshaft (124), a first transmission (126) below the engine and driven by the crankshaft, a second transmission (128) above the first transmission and horizontally adjacent the engine and having an input driven by the first transmission and having an output providing vehicle propulsion. A module pre-assembled unit is ready for drop-in mounting to a vehicle.
Abstract:
A gap setting tool for setting a gap between a pair of panels includes a first body portion, a second body portion, and a pin having a predetermined diameter. The first body portion, the second body portion, and the pin are movable relative to one another. One of the panels is fixed and the other panel is movably mounted adjacent thereto. The body portions are operable to be attached to respective ones of the pair of panels, such as by vacuum cups or the like, and drawn toward one another with the pin in the gap until the panels contact the pin.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an aqueous biocide system comprising: at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible biocidal agent, and at least a polyorganosiloxane with water-soluble or water-dispersible functions. The invention also concerns the use of the system for disinfecting hard surfaces, or a method for disinfecting hard surfaces using the system, with controlled release of the biocide when contacted with an aqueous medium of a hard surface whereon the aqueous medium has been deposited and dried.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a heat engine having shafts with gears, position gears and a plurality of actuators. Energy is harnessed from the first shaft as it rotates. The second shaft can be coupled to the first shaft to transfer energy from the second shaft to the first shaft. One coupler is a chain. Position gears orient the chain wherein the rotation of the second shaft is inverted upon the first shaft so that the first shaft has a constant rotational orientation. Each actuator is preferably a double acting actuator that can supply force to both push and pull upon a belt connected to the actuator rod. A 1-way clutch and gear connects the belt to each shaft wherein the belt (driven by actuator) imparts a positive force upon the first shaft on the out stroke and a positive force upon the second shaft on the return stroke.
