Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which relates the output of a digitizer type device to the entry that is held by an electronic personal information management tool(PIM tool) such as an electronic calendar, an electronic appointment book, an electronic organizer book and an electronic diary for attaining their mutual reference and/or linkage. SOLUTION: A stroke database includes plural stoke entries having time stamps and a PIM database includes plural entries having the time related to the base itself. A controller searches for at least, one of the stroke database and PIM database and detects the place of the corresponding entry of each database designating that a specific stroke entry is produced at the time corresponding to a specific TIM database entry. Then a link is formed between both stroke entry and PIM database entry and the corresponding stroke information that is related to the specific TIM database entry can be visualized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient computer device. SOLUTION: A notebook-sized PC 10 is provided with an extended ten key pad 100 as an attachable and detachable function extending pad at a receiving part formed next to a keyboard 20. Moreover, a tray 40 to be drawn from a side part 15 of a main body part 14 is provided with a cradle pad 110 for a PDA as the attachable and detachable function extending pad. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use notebook PC (personal computer). SOLUTION: The notebook PC 11 has a monitor part 15 and a main body part 13, and the monitor part 15 and the main body part 13 are connected by an arm part 20 via a first hinge part 22 and a second hinge part 23. In the notebook type PC 11, the tilt angle of the monitor part 15 is preserved, irrespective of the change of vertical position of the monitor part 15. Furthermore, because a turning force is exerted on the first hinge part 22 in the direction opposite to an arrow, the arm part 20 can be easily moved up from the body part 13 and the arm part 20 can be housed stably, when housed in the main body unit 13. Abstract: Method has the following steps: storing the entries of the electronic tablet in a database with the entries stored with an entry time, specific entries are then made in the personal organizer software together with associated times. The tablet database can then be searched using time search criteria and entries displayed that have been made with the time criteria. Independent claims are made for a device for line scanning of entries made with an electronic stylus on an entry tablet and for software for use with a computer readable tablet and for management of the entries, including time of entry.
