    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for balancing loads between mirror servers by being actively associated with a client. SOLUTION: A user can select any one of multiple mirror servers within the same Web page and can access the mirror server. This method includes a step 1 for transmitting not only the Web page but also a prescribed script to the client when the Web page is accessed by the client, a step 2 for automatically executing the script by the client so as to measure respective response times by establishing connections with the respective plural mirror servers, and a step 3 for selecting the mirror server of the shortest response time so that the user can access that mirror server.

    Abstract: A method for dynamically adding new functions for web pages comprises steps of: 1) capturing a web page which is returned to a web client 103 by a web server 104; 2) adding a new URL into intercepted web page, which directs to a predetermined processing server 102 utilized for implementing new functions, and thus forming a new web page; 3) returning the new web page to the web client; 4) implementing the new functions by the predetermined processing server if it receives a request sent by the web client based on the new URL. In step 2), the new URL may be used to replace an original URL for the purpose of linkage contained in an original hyperlink, or be directly added into a new hyperlink. The web page may be captured by a content conversion server 101. The method could be used for web page translation, collection of user information, online advertising management, and a billing system.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a stock trade system based upon a hand-held device by allowing a message adapter(MA) to send to a stock transaction subsystem(STSS) a request in a characteristic message format that the STSS requires. CONSTITUTION: A service platform subsystem(SPSS)(3) communicates with various hand-held devices according to characteristic communication methods and message formats that those devices employ and receive stock trade requests that users of the devices issue. Here, MAs(4,4') are in charge of message format conversion between the SPSS(3) and STSSs(5,5'). When the SPSS(3) receives a stock trade request, the request is sent in standardized platform message format to the MA(4) (e.g. MA#1) connected to the STSS(5) (e.g. STSS #1) that a user specifies. The MA(4) once receiving the requests sends it in the message format needed for the STSS 1. Finally, a stock trade center achieves the request.
