Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the automatic adjustment device in a multi-channel acoustic system and the method for adjusting a reproduction state so as to create an optimum listening environment in the listening environment of an audio equipment for a household or for an individual. SOLUTION: White noises produced by the transmission characteristic measurement part 10 of the system are produced from respective speakers 12 and transmission signals from the respective speakers 12 are collected through the column of microphones 11 at a listening position and transmitted to a transmission function calculation part 10. The transmission function calculation part 10 calculates transmission characteristics between the respective speakers and the listening position by using generation signals and collecting signals and adjusts the characteristics of respective acoustic channels so as to make all the transmission characteristics between the respective speakers and the listening position be similar. Then, a channel by the mounted speaker and a virtual image channel generated by using a transmission function beforehand are synthesized and reproduced.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for generating an additional information bit stream of a multi-object audio signal. The apparatus for generating an additional information bit stream of a multi-object audio signal according to the present invention includes a spatial cue information input unit for taking, as an input, spatial cue information generated from a multi-object audio signal encoding device, a preset information input unit for taking, as an input, preset information for a multi-object audio signal, and an additional information bit stream generating unit for generating an additional information bit stream by using the spatial cue information and the preset information. The additional information bit stream includes a header region and a frame region. The preset information is included in the frame region. The apparatus of the present invention is advantageous as it is capable of changing set audio scene information in accordance with the idea of an editor or a sound engineer even during reproduction of a multi-object audio signal because preset information is included in the frame region of the additional information bit stream generated during encoding of the multi-object audio signal.
Abstract:
Provided are an object-based three dimensional (3-D) audio service system using preset audio scenes and a method thereof. The system and the method are suggested for enabling a user to easily and conveniently watch and listen an object based 3-D audio service by eliminating inconvenience that requires a user to control each of object audio signals of sound sources. The system includes: audio input means for inputting an audio signal; preset audio scene generating means for extracting object audio signals from the audio signal inputted through the audio input means and generating more than one of 3-D audio scene information by arranging the extracted object audio signals in a 3-D space and editing features of each object; and encoding means for encoding and multiplexing the audio signal and the 3-D audio scene information for each object audio signal.

Método para realizar una decodificación de Moving Picture Experts Group MPEG surround, de alta calidad para generar señales de audio de múltiples canales usando un flujo de bits de información lateral y señales de mezcla descendente de al menos uno de entre un dominio complejo de filtro de espejo en cuadratura, QMF, y un dominio de tiempo, que comprende las etapas de: realizar un análisis de QMF en señales de mezcla descendente del dominio de tiempo; aplicar un retardo introducido en una conversión de real a complejo de un decodificador de MPEG surround de baja potencia a señales de salida emitidas a partir de la etapa de realizar un análisis de QMF y señales de mezcla descendente del dominio de QMF complejo; y realizar un análisis de Nyquist en señales de salida a partir de la etapa de aplicar el retardo y las señales de entrada residuales de QMF.

The apparatus includes a multichannel audio down-mixer for receiving a multichannel audio signal and transforming the received multichannel audio signal to a down-mixed audio signal and an auxiliary signal, and a super frame generator for generating a super frame auxiliary signal by combining a plurality of auxiliary signal frames.

The arrangement includes measuring unit for measuring transmission characteristics for converting white noise into analogue signals and reproduction over loudspeakers can be carried out. The signals from the loudspeakers are recorded through a microphone arrangement at a hearing position, and the collected signals are transmitted to a calculation part (20) for the calculation of a transmission function. The calculation part calculates the transmission characteristics between the respective loudspeakers and the hearing position under evaluation of the white noise and the collected signals. The sound characteristics of the respective sound channels are adjusted so, that the transmission characteristics are equalized. Phantom channels are synthesised and are reproduced under application of the transmission functions and the installed loudspeakers.

Provided are an apparatus and method for coding and decoding a multi object audio signal with multi channel. The apparatus includes: a multi channel encoding means for down-mixing an audio signal including a plurality of channels, generating a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of channels, and generating first rendering information including the generated spatial cue; and a multi object encoding unit for down-mixing an audio signal including a plurality of objects, which includes the down-mixed signal from the multi channel encoding unit, generating a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of objects, and generating second rendering information including the generated spatial cue, wherein the multichannel encoding unit generates a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of objects regardless of a Coder-DECoder (CODEC) scheme the limits the multi channel encoding unit.
Abstract:
Provided are a method for creating, editing and reproducing a multi-object audio content file for an object-based audio service and a method for creating audio presets. The multi-object audio content file creating method includes creating a plurality of frames for each audio object forming an audio content; and creating a multi-object audio content file by grouping and storing the frames according to each reproduction time. This invention can enhance functions of the object-based audio service and make it easy to access to each audio object of an audio content file.
