Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for estimating block matching motion with a small number of clock cycles which are used for a very large scale integrated circuit, etc. SOLUTION: This motion estimating device includes a prescribed number of first processing means (810 and 830) for receiving a search area data signal at the leading edge of a clock and calculating the absolute value of the difference between the search area data signal and a reference block data signal, and a prescribed number of second processing means (820 and 840) for receiving the search area data signal at the trailing edge of the clock and calculating the absolute value of the difference between the search area data signal and the reference block data signal. The first processing means (810 and 830) are alternately connected to the second processing means (820 and 840).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-wavelength optical buffer utilizing a loop mirror and capable of sending a cell to a required node by preventing collision between cells by electric control when cells of various wavelengths simultaneously arrive at the same node from a high speed network. SOLUTION: The multi-wavelength buffer is provided with a loop mirror 10 for dividing the wavelength of each of cells λ1 to λn inputted from an input terminal at initial time into plural components, storing these wavelength divided cells and reflecting each cell to the inputted direction, a cell input means 20 for inputting each cell reflected from the loop mirror 10 to the mirror 10 again by controlling the gain and optical power of the cell and a controller 30 for controlling the output of the cells inputted and stored in the loop mirror 10 to the external in each wavelength by electric pulses 31. After optically storing the cell having low priority as necessary, the stored cell is selectively outputted by an electric control signal when there is spare traffic.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder which enables real time processing of MPEG-II audio encoding process requiring a large amount of operation for a many kinds of works. SOLUTION: For audio data A/D converted by an A/D converting part 6 and stored in a memory 7 for units of a frame, high-speed Fourier transform FFT operation is performed for each channel by an FFT part 1, analysis filtering is performed by an analysis filtering part 2, the processing result is outputted to the memory 7 again, and psychological acoustic operation is performed from the processing result of the FFT part 1 by a processor core part 4. Then, a scale coefficient is calculated by the output of the analysis filtering part 2, and while using the result of this psychological acoustic operation, a final output bit string is outputted via a FIFO 8. In this case, processor efficiency is improved by utilizing an applied special processor for effectively executing the complicated algorithm, an FFT and an analysis filter engine are added, calculation ability is improved by forming a pipeline for each module to independently process routines, so that a system use degree is made maximal.

The transmission function calculation part 10 calculates transmission characteristics between the respective speakers and the listening position by using generation signals and collecting signals and adjusts the characteristics of respective acoustic channels so as to make all the transmission characteristics between the respective speakers and the listening position be similar. Then, a channel by the mounted speaker and a virtual image channel generated by using a transmission function beforehand are synthesized and reproduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a MOSFET analog integrating machine utilizing linearlized resistivity that actualizes high-speed operation and lowers the price of the manufacture by including a 2nd current mirror which is coupled with a 1st current mirror in parallel. SOLUTION: Through a 1st static current element and a 2nd static current element where currents almost as large as a current Im1 and a current Im2 flow, the final current IOUT is proportional to the product of voltages V1 and V2 . A bipolar transistor(BJT) is used for circuit constitution for finding the difference between the two currents Im1 and Im2 flowing to MOSFETs M1 and M2 operating in a triode area. Consequently, the circuit can be constituted through a BiCMOS process which is recently generalized. Namely, simple circuit design consisting of only a small number of transistors is obtained for ASIC- implementation as conventional problem points and high-speed analog operation can be actualized in some part in an element in all application fields.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the integrating machine with high performance which is able to operate at low voltage level, and the neural network synapse by using VLSI technology by including a 1st current mirror consisting of MOS transistors to generate a 1st current and a 2nd current mirror which consists of MOS transistors to generate a 2nd current and is coupled with the 1st current mirror in parallel. SOLUTION: An output current I0 fixes a supply voltage V1 and a voltage V3 applied to the gate of an n-channel MOSFET M2 of the 2nd current mirror. When a voltage V2 applied to the gate of an n-channel MOSFET M1 of the 1st current mirror is applied from outside, the final current I0 varies linearly with the current V2 . Namely, the output current I0 does not have a VT term as a secondary term, so this circuit is usable as an integrating machine. Further, elements are constituted in two stages between the supply voltage V1 and a ground voltage GND, so the loss of the voltage is small, so that low-voltage operation becomes possible.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating random numbers sensitive to the initial value and hard to find the periodicity, by selecting pseudo random numbers through a filter defined as a nonlinear multidimensional chaos function from stored random numbers and outputting them. SOLUTION: Many multidimensional chaos functions are defined by a nonlinear function and the nonlinear multidimensional functions are stored inside a library 10. In the selection of decision algorithm in the chaos functions stored in the library 10, by extending a key space, stability is provided. The result value 3 of the nonlinear multidimensional function selected and repeatedly applied as the decision algorithm from the nonlinear function library 10 is selected and outputted as the random number 4 by being passed through the filter 20. The filter 20 is realized by the nonlinear multidimensional function driven by the system variable of time or the like and a user key, etc., and the random number 4 is safely secured in random number selection.

Then the intensity of the output signal of the first AGC circuit is measured by a detection circuit (S17). After then, a microprocessor judges whether the measured value is within the second power control window W3 of an already decided band width larger than a first power control window W2 (S18). Then when the measured value is not within the second power control window W3, the microprocessor corrects the gain of the first AGC circuit (S19).
