Abstract:
The Centralized Management System utilizing a Bus Interface Unit comprises a Computer (4z) installing an address Bus (4a), data Bus (4b), and control Bus (4c), a First-Level Station (4Q1) communicating with the Computer (4z) as the First-Level Station (4Q1) is connected to the buses (4a, 4b, 4c) of the Computer (4z), a plurality of second-level stations (4Q2, 4Q3, ..., 4QM) communicating with the First-Level Station (4Q1) as the second-level stations (4Q2, 4Q3, ..., 4QM) are connected to the First-Level Station through a Multipoint Bus (4r). Therefore, the Centralized Management System is capable of communicating the Computer with the First-Level Station through a Dual Port RAM (Random Access Memory), intercommunicating a plurality of Second-Level Stations through a Multipoint Interface and Multipoint Bus, and controlling and managing several thousands of Terminals (for example, Public Telephones).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a speech synthesis and recognition system that reduces the amount of memory capacity for storing standard speech information, and improves the synthesized speech quality and the rate of speech recognition. The speech synthesis and recognition system has a memory with the stored demiphoneme data bisected with respect to a center of phoneme, and produces a synthesis speech signal by decoding demiphoneme data stored in the memory and concatenating the decoded demiphoneme data while generating a character train data for word, phrase, clause corresponding to speech signal by comparing the demiphoneme data stored in the memory with the speech signal.
Abstract:
A coin treatment apparatus, for selecting the inserted coins by each currency unit, transferring them to a receiving space of a predetermined position, and discharging various coins stored in the receiving space into a coin receiving box (3) which is another receiving space, is constructed.
Abstract:
A coin/credit operated public telephone is capable of making local, toll, and international calls using coins, credit card, or IC card and also of making a voice announcement regarding its operation method to the caller through a handset (1). Moreover, it provides graphic/character information through the LCD (10) and can transmit fault status that has been detected as a result of a highly reliable self-diagnosis carried out by receiving control signals from a remotely located central management system.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a communication network disturbance management method using a top-down method which detects, analyzes and solves a problem by analyzing a quality state in regard to whole communication network lines. The disturbance management are performed in the whole communication network, thereby managing the communication network problems which are not notified by the users. In addition, the communication network problems can be managed before from the user's dissatisfaction notification or disturbance generation. Moreover, the disturbance management access method is based on service quali ty values, and thus it is possible to manage the communication network problem causing reduction of the service quality provided to the users. As a result, the present invention ca n provide the high quality communication service to the users using the communication network.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for scheduling packets using a credit based round robin in a high-speed communication network in which packets are transmitted to and received from a plurality of connections having respective speeds of service. The scheduling apparatus includes a packet pool for storing input packets; a token queue for storing tokens each having a connection identifier (ID) of an input packet stored in said packet pool, the round number (RN) of the connection, and a credit value (CV) for service; and a connection management unit for transmitting the input packets to said packet pool, reading the packets stored in said packet pool, generating the tokens each having a connection identifier (ID) of an input packet stored in said packet pool, the round number (RN) of the connection, and a credit value (CV) for service and transmitting them to said token queue, and servicing the packets of said packet pool designated by the token stored in said token queue.

Abstract:
A method for automatically verifying the accuracy of an electronic map is described. The method includes determining whether a symbol-affixed line is a symmetric line or an asymmetric line, thereby defining a figure which may receive a symbol. The number of symbols of the symbol-affixed line received in the defined figure during movement of the figure along the symbol-affixed line is calculated, and an ideal number of symbols is calculated. The method then verifies the accuracy of the electronic map, based on the calculated results along with desired limitations associated with those results.
Abstract:
A method for exchanging an authentication and signing an electronic signature, capable of providing a high security and achieving a high efficiency. The method includes the steps of setting p, q and g as system parameters, where p and q are prime numbers while g is an integer, between 1 and p, having the value of 1 when multiplied by the q-th power and then divided by p, and using n secret keys and n public keys for each user, where n is a number not less than 2, the public keys vn respectively corresponding to the secret keys Sn, integers between 1 and q, and being produced based on an equation of vn=g-sn mod p.
