Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an ice making tray driving device for an automatic ice machine which drives two ice making trays. SOLUTION: An engagement starting means is composed of projecting teeth 318, 328 formed by projecting at least one tooth of each of two output gears 31, 32 in the face width direction; a cylindrical part 431 axially adjoining a gear of a driving gear 43; a recessed tooth 432 provided at the cylindrical part 431 and formed to be meshed with the projecting teeth 318, 328; and a sliding member 44 which blocks the recessed tooth 432 of the cylindrical member 431 in a prescribed position. The sliding member 44 impedes engagement by maintaining the blocking of the recessed tooth 432 to the projecting tooth on the nonrotating output gear side when the driving gear 43 rotates either one of two output gears 31, 32. The engagement is thereby started only by the mutual facing of the projecting teeth 318, 328 and recessed tooth 432. As a result, the driving gear 43 can be made small to realize miniaturization. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an automatic ice making device. SOLUTION: The automatic ice making device is provided with a switch lever 120 and a pivoting shaft 11. In the switch lever 120, a first protuberance 120c is energized into the pushing direction of a button 119a of a switch 119. The first protuberance 120c is separated from the button 119a of the switch 119 when a second protuberance is contacted with the projected part 121a of a switch operating cam of a cam gear 115. The pivoting shaft 116 is provided with an ice detecting lever 3 attached to the mounting unit 116a of the same and the follower unit 116b is pushed against the pivoting permitting cam 117 of the cam gear 115. In this case, the automatic ice making device is so constituted that a follower protuberance 116c pushes a switch lever 120 so that the first protuberance 120c cannot push the button 119a of the switch 119, when the follower unit 116b of the pivoting shaft 116 has arrived at the recess 117b of the pivoting permitting cam 117, and the ice detecting lever 3 can be invaded into an ice storage box 12 to permit the pivoting of the pivoting shaft 116 by an angle more than a predetermined value.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate generation of scale and to obviate transfer of bad smell to ice by continuing an operation of a pump until a tank is mounted when the tank is removed during the operation of the pump. CONSTITUTION:When installation of a tank 2 at a predetermined position in a cold storage chamber 1 is confirmed by tank sensing means 6 and closing of a door 7 of the chamber 1 is confirmed by door switching sensing means 8, a positive displacement pump 3 is driven to suck water in the tank 2 through a suction tube 5 and to supply it to an icemaking tray 21 through a discharge tube 18. When the door 7 is opened during driving of the pump 3 and the tank 2 is removed, non-installation of the tank 2 is sensed by the means 6, and then the pump 3 is continuously operated by its sense signal. When the pump 3 is operated with the tank 2 removed, the air is sucked by the tube 5, water in the tube 5, the pump 3 and the tube 18 is not dropped and stayed in the tube, and hence water in the tube, the pump 3 does not flow into the chamber 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a damper thermo in which a screw is not rotated even under the greater movement of an arm and hence it does not influence the operation temperature by providing a resilient member between the arm and the screw such that the screw mounted on the arm is not rotated even though the arm is greatly moved. CONSTITUTION:An arm 109 makes contact with an eccentric cam 103 at one end thereof and is rotatably engaged with a frame 102, a screw penetrates through the arm 109. A bevel gear part 110 and a circumferential end surface part 111 are formed on a head 108' formed on one end of the screw 108. A resilient member 112 is provided between the arm 109 and a circumferential end surface part 111 of the screw head 108' so as to make contact with them. Hereby, even if the movement of the arm 109 is greater, frictional resistance of a contact surface among the resilient member 112, the arm 109, and the circumferential end surface 111 becomes high because the resilient member 112 applies force to the circumferential end surface part 111 of the screw head 108' by the spring 106 thereof in the direction of the contraction of the circumferential end surface part 111 at all times. Thus, the screw 108 is completely prevented from being rotated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a feed water control suitable for an automatic ice-making device which feeds water into two ice-trays so as to make ice. SOLUTION: In an automatic ice-making device which supplies water from a water-filled feed water tank 11 to two ice-trays (a first ice-tray 26a, a second ice-tray 26b) provided in an atmosphere below the freezing point through a pump 24 so as to make ice, when feeding water, at first the water is supplied to a specific ice-tray (the first ice-tray 26a), and even in the worst case where a water level of the feed water tank 11 is low and insufficient water is supplied, the amount may be caused to exceed that of the other ice-tray (the second ice-tray 26b) so that the completion of ice-making of the other ice-tray (the second ice-tray 26b) may be recognized upon completion of ice-making of the specific ice-tray (the first ice-tray 26a). Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel friction and creaking sounds generated by an ice tray and ice, and at the same time, to prevent ice from cracking, when the ice is to be separated from the ice tray for discharging. SOLUTION: The automatic ice-making machine is composed of a driving gear that is rotated by a stepping motor 12, an output gear 122 that is composed in one piece with an output shaft 14 for driving an ice ray 1, and a transmission means that changes gear ratio, according to the angle of rotation of the driving gear for transmitting the rotary force of the driving gear to the output gear 122. In this case, when the output gear 122 is rotated by the transmission means with a relatively low speed and high torque, ice in the ice tray 1 is separated from the ice tray 1 by giving a twist, thus preventing generation of friction and creaking sounds, and cracking of the ice.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a sanitary water supply system, in which generation of fur is eliminated and there is less soaking of odor, by directly supplying water from a water storage tank to an ice making pan by means of a positive displacement pump. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 7 for sucking water from a water storage tank 4 is connected to a pump suction port 6 of a positive displacement pump 5, and a discharge pipe 7' for discharging water to an ice making pan 3 of an ice making machine 2 is connected to a discharge port 8 of the positive displacement pump 5 whereby the pump suction port 6 of the discharge displacement pump 5 is positioned below the pump and the discharge port 8 is positioned above the pump. Gears in the positive displacement pump 5 are shaped to be tapered such that no recessed portions are provided on thrust surfaces of the gears or recessed portions are embedded therein. Therefore, water can be directly supplied from the tank not through a water receiving pan or the like, so that water service can be obtained in a sanitary manner since there is not fear of fur and odor in a housing being shifted to water and there are not produced any remnants of water. Further, the use of measures for correcting warpage caused during molding in a gear casing and a cover which are formed of a resin reduces a possibility that an amount of water supplied varies widely.
