Abstract: A method an apparatus and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which user equipment performs a circuit switched fallback procedure to connect to a CDMA2000 network. The CDMA2000 network may be selected by the UE or by the network. A plurality of PLMN IDs may be maintained where the IDs relate to a network that includes an LTE RAN. Each PLMN ID may be associated with a CDMA2000 network sharing the LTE RAN. A CDMA2000 network may be selected for circuit switched fallback of a user equipment operating in the LTE RAN. The user equipment may be configured to perform a circuit switched fallback procedure on the selected CDMA2000 network. The CDMA2000 network may be selected by a mobility management entity responsive to a PLMN selection procedure. The PLMN selection procedure may be performed when the UE reports multiple operator capability.

As described herein, various techniques can be utilized to synthesize system databases corresponding to disparate groups of radio access technologies (RATs), such as a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) list and/or a Preferred Roaming List (PRL), with one or more overlay databases and associated location information to generate a multi-mode list of preferred systems. As described herein, a preferred system listing can be constructed to leverage fine granularity of information in one or more databases while still supporting databases with coarser information. Techniques are additionally described herein for augmenting and/or grouping one or more overlay databases to facilitate a higher available granularity of information for various RATs than that provided in system databases corresponding to the RATs. Techniques are additionally provided for automated generation of preferred system listing based on changes to observed location.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for improving user experience of a voice call associated with a simultaneous voice and long-term evolution (SV-LTE) device (e.g., improving silent redial during a mobile originated (MO) call or mobile terminated (MT) call by a SV-LTE device. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) capable of communicating via a first packet-based radio access technology (RAT) and a second circuit-switched RAT is provided. The method generally includes detecting initiation of a mobile originated (MO) call, attempting to establish a connection with the first RAT prior to sending a session initiation protocol (SIP) message for the MO call, determining whether the connection is successfully established, and, if the connection is successfully established, sending the SIP message.
