A receiving apparatus includes a receiving unit that receives expected waves, and a control unit that sets the receiving unit to an operational state that has a lower electricity consumption within a range in which reception performance is allowed, depending on interference waves with respect to the expected waves that the receiving unit receives.

En un sistema receptor de una comunidad, son recibidas las ondas de radiodifusion que se multiplexan mediante ondas polarizadas de mano derecha y ondas polarizadas de mano izquierda, y estas ondas de radiodifusion se distribuyen a cada unidad terminal a través de un solo cable de señal de IF. Las ondas polarizadas de mano derecha y las ondas polarizadas de mano izquierda se convierten en señales de IF de frecuencias mutuamente diferentes mediante los convertidores 52 y 53 de bajo ruido y luego se mezclan juntas mediante un mezclador 54. Además, estas señales se mezclan con señales de difusion de television de onda terrestre por un mezclador 56 y se distribuyen a cada unidad 2 terminal a través de un solo cable de señal de IF. En la unidad 2 terminal, las señales difundidas por television de onda terrestre se separan mediante un filtro 59 de ramificacion y se alimentan a un receptor 61. Un circuito 60 de seleccion selecciona las ondas polarizadas de mano derecha y las ondas polarizadas de mano izquierda de conformidad con una señal de conmutacion de onda polarizada alimentada desde el receptor 61 y lleva a cabo la conversion de frecuencia como se requiere, y luego alimenta las ondas polarizadas al receptor 61.

The receiving apparatus including a receiving portion for receiving a number of multiplexed broadcast waves, a separation portion for separating the number of multiplexed broadcast waves received by the receiving portion into a number of types of broadcast waves, a conversion portion for converting the number of types of broadcast waves separated by the separation portion into a number of IF signals of mutually different frequencies; and an output portion for outputting the number of IF signals converted by the conversion portion to a processing section.
