Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of an input panel, and also, to prevent deterioration in the detection accuracy of a coordinate position, by providing plural switching means consisting of plural diodes, a pen potential detecting circuit and a dividing circuit, etc. CONSTITUTION:In case of applying a voltage to an input panel 1 from a driving signal generator 10, if its voltage is negative, diodes 61-6n and 71-7n conduct, and diodes 81-8n and 91-9n go to no-conducting. Subsequently, on a resistance layer of the panel 1, a potential inclination which is varied linearly in its X axis direction is formed. On the other hand, when the generator 10 has generated a positive voltage, the diodes 81-8n and 91-9n conduct, the diodes 61-6n and 71-7n go to non-electrifying, and on the resistance layer of the panel 1, a potential inclination which is varied linearly in its Y axis direction is formed. In such a way, a contact position of an input pen 15 can be derived as a point on the X and Y coordinates through a pen potential detecting circuit 12 and a dividing circuit 13, etc. Accordingly, the durability of the input panel can be improved, and also, the detection accuracy of the coordinate position can be prevented from its deterioration.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect defects of even a sheet woven irregularly, by arranging sheet polarizers between the sheet to be measured and a light source, a photodetecting part with specific angles in direction of polarization and detecting bright, dark defects on the basis of binarized data of image signals. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a light source 1 and a photodetecting part 3 with a non-woven cloth 4 held therebetween. Sheet polarizers 2a, 2b are arranged between the non-woven cloth 4 and the light source 1 and between the non-woven cloth 4 and the photodetecting part 3 with approximately 70-110 deg. of directions of polarization. A light from the light source 1 passes the sheet polarizer 2a, non-woven cloth 4 and sheet polarizer 2b to be detected at the photodetecting part 3. The detected light is binarized by a binarization process means 6a to larger, smaller signal values (a), (b) (a>b) than a first threshold value, and larger, smaller signals than a second threshold value smaller than the first threshold value are binarized at a binarization process means 6b to values (b), (c) (b>c). The binarized signals are detected by a defect detection means 7 as bright defects if showing the value (a) to an input signal or as dark defects is showing the value (c). The detected defect is marked by 11 at an end part of the non-woven cloth 4.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To arrange opinions of many answerers in a short period of time by converting digital data into a start-stop serial signal while adding start bits and stop bits and transmitting the signal from a master station to a computer equipment, and arranging the opinions of the answerers by the computer equipment. CONSTITUTION:The master station 2 receives and arranges the digital data showing the opinions of the answerers which continue with time by radio communication from slave stations 1 that the answerers have. At this time, the digital data is converted into the start-stop serial signal while start bits and stop bits are added and transmitted from the master station 2 to the computer equipment 3, which arranges the digital data. Consequently, the opinions of many answerers can be arranged in a short period of time by a small-sized device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To accurately measure an optical constant by removing the influence of a reflection light beam from the rear face of a base board having transparency. CONSTITUTION: An incident light beam is collected by a lens 3 to be allowed to enter a surface of a base board 4 having transparency. When the reflection light beam from the base board 4 having transparency is cast on a detector array 5 by the lens 3, a diameter of the reflection beam from the rear face of the base board 4 is reduced. The optical constant is calculated based on an output signal from sensor elements in a range except a range of the beam diameter.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To measure the anisotropy in the optical constants of a translucent substrate or a thin film layer formed accurately at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A linearly polarized light obtained through a half-wave plate 2a is condensed through a lens 3 and impinges on the surface of a translucent substrate 4. When an array detector 5 is irradiated with a light beam reflected on the substrate 4 through the lens 3, the half-wave plate 2a and the array detector 5 are rotated, respectively, through rotating mechanisms 2b, 5a. Angle dependency of refractive index is then measured and biretringence is determined directly from the angle dependency of retractive index.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor and time for an inspection by applying shearing stress to a color paste, and evaluating and inspecting the generated coagulation by image processing. SOLUTION: A color paste 20 applied with shearing stress by a rotor is collected on an microscopic plate 10, it is arranged on a microscope 11, and transmitted illumination is radiated to the microscopic plate 10. The light transmitting the color paste 20 in the microscopic plate 10 is collected by a camera 13 above the microscope 11. The signal loaded into the camera 13 is A/D- converted and loaded into an image processing device 14, and image data and the dispersion value of the variable density value of all picture elements of image data are displayed on a monitor 15. When the variable density value is measured and the dispersion value is calculated, the ratio of the occurrence of coagulation when the color paste 20 is applied can be evaluated. This inspecting method can be conducted without applying the color paste 20, and the time and labor required for the inspection can be sharply decreased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure the health for a person engaging VDT job by revising a screen independently of a job temporary or outputting a melody tentatively after laps of a prescribed time after starting the job. CONSTITUTION:A timer 3 receives a start signal and counts a time T1 corresponding to a preset job time or a time T2 corresponding to a job pause time. A pattern display switching section 4' displays a job pattern on a pattern display device 5 while a timer 3 is set and while the timer 3 after laps of the job time is reset, no job pattern is displayed or a pattern independently of the job is displayed. A melody is outputted from a melody generating section 4 corresponding to the output of the said timer 3 consecutively for the job time T1, or after the end of the job time T1, the melody is outputted for the job pause time T2 to select the output mode according to the preference of the VDT job worker.
