One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a pumping system that includes a self-priming pump, a remotely coupled controller configured to operate the self-priming pump and other portions of the system, a discharge flow meter, and a bleed valve coupled to the self-priming pump. The system can be remotely accessed, programmed, and transmit data to a remote device. The bleed valve can comprise a loss of prime sensor in the body, and when the loss of prime is detected in the pump and/or the discharge flow meter detects a loss of flow, the pump and/or controller may be used to help re-establish prime in the pump by opening the relief outlet and operating the pump at an increased rate.

A two (or more) piston pump system (10) is provided with both pumps (12) being crank (14) driven. The system does not have a mechanical camshaft, but a software algorithm, which acts like one in controller (20). The algorithm will LEARN and create a unique speed profile, which will mimic the mechanical camshaft. For practical purposes the speed profile of output gear is called Cam profile with software acting as an imaginary camshaft. The algorithm utilizes Crank Angle Estimation, Learn Curve Generation, Smoothing and Advance Timing Calculation.

The present invention relates to a method for operating an undulating diaphragm pump comprising an undulating diaphragm and actuating means of the undulating diaphragm electrically powered according to a given frequency or voltage to make the undulating diaphragm oscillate and undulate. According to the invention, the method consists in modifying the electrical supply frequency and/or voltage of the actuating means according to at least one operating parameter, determined in advance, of the undulating diaphragm pump.

A compressor controller provides integrated monitoring, control, and alarm capabilities. The compressor controller receives a run signal from a rack controller. Upon receipt of the run signal, the compressor controller monitors startup conditions to determine whether it is safe to start the compressor. If so, the compressor controller applies power to the compressor and determines whether the compressor is running properly. Once the compressor is running properly, the compressor controller continues to monitor the operation of the compressor. If the compressor controller detects a fault conditions during the startup or operation of the compressor, the compressor controller provides an alarm signal and shuts down the compressor if necessary. The compressor controller provides maximum protection for the compressor by monitoring a plurality of relevant conditions and by shutting the compressor down when necessary. The compressor controller also maximizes the compressor's availability by evaluating the monitored conditions to determine whether the compressor can continue to run or be restarted despite a fault condition.
