Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission condenser having a high conversion efficiency value (≥80%), in which the distribution of multi-color irradiance on a cell surface becomes uniform. SOLUTION: The condenser can propagate solar radiation to the surface of a conversion element. The condenser 10 is provided with at least one part of a Fresnel lens having rotational symmetry, and one surface 11 of it is provided with a plurality of peaks 12 arranged concentric to the center so as to form a transversal profile sectioned for the part of the Fresnel lens. The profile is formed so as to vary the focus distance of the Fresnel lens, depending on a radius distance from the lens center. When the Fresnel lens is irradiated with multi-color radiation, the change of the focus distance is decided so that the overlapping of the distributions of the irradiance is generated by the lens by individual wavelengths constituting an incident radiation spectrum and practically uniform multi-color irradiance distribution is generated in the conversion element. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit, for controlling one or more inductive loads which is highly reliable and that is provided with a current-recirculating means that operates with thoroughly reduced power consumption. SOLUTION: This circuit comprises a DC power supply, a first electronic switch disposed in between a first terminal of the power supply and a corresponding first terminal of a load; a second electronic switch disposed between a second terminal of the load and a second terminal of the power supply; a current-recirculating device including diodes, connected in between the first terminal of the load and the second terminal of the power supply, for enabling circulation of the current flowing through the load, when the first switch is opened; and a control unit arranged to control the switches. The recirculating device includes a third electronic switch, disposed between the first terminal of the load and the second terminal of the power supply; and the control unit is arranged to control the third switch, being in synchronization but of opposite phase with respect to the first switch. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an observer to view an image generated from a micro display device without being interested in a background itself. SOLUTION: A head-mount or head-up type light guide member for use in the display device comprises a body 22 of the light guide member the part of which has transparency with respect to visible light and a coupling member 24 designed to couple the body 22 to an optical system 18 connected with the body 22 and designed to generate the image. Also, the light guide member is provided with a coupling member 24 arranged so that the light beam from the optical system 18 propagates in the body 22 by total internal reflection, and an image fetching diffraction grating 28 designed such that the light beam propagating in the body 22 can be taken out so that the observer can view the image taken out in a transparent background by the body 22.
