    Abstract: An optical structure includes a multilayer relief that has a first surface having an uneven shape, and a reflection layer that is formed on the first surface and reflects visible light. The multilayer relief includes a first resin layer that contains a non-radiation curable resin as a main component and constitutes the first surface, and a second resin layer that contains a radiation curable resin as a main component and is adjacent to the first resin layer. The first resin layer has a thickness smaller than an unevenness difference of the uneven shape.

    Abstract: A catalyst layer for polymer electrolyte fuel cells that improves drainage or gas diffusion, reduces or prevents the occurrence of cracking in a catalyst layer, enhances catalyst utilization efficiency, exerts high output power and high energy conversion efficiency, and has high durability, and also provides a membrane-electrode assembly and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell using the catalyst layer. The catalyst layer for polymer electrolyte fuel cells contains a catalyst, carbon particles, a polymer electrolyte, and a fibrous material. In the catalyst layer, the carbon particles carry the catalyst1. The catalyst layer for polymer electrolyte fuel cells has voids. The percentage of frequencies of the voids having a cross-sectional area of 10,000 nm2 or more is 13% or more and 20% or less among the voids observed in a thickness-direction cross section of the catalyst layer for polymer electrolyte fuel cells perpendicular to the surface thereof.

    Abstract: A color filter including a substrate and colored parts formed on the substrate. The substrate has a surface having rectangular unit regions defined by evenly dividing the surface along a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. Each of the rectangular unit regions has four rectangular sub-regions which are three colored regions and one uncolored region. A first colored region has a first boundary with the uncolored region and a second boundary with a second colored region. A first colored part is formed in the first colored region with a first gap being formed in the first direction between the first boundary and a side of the first colored part facing the first boundary, and with a second gap greater than the first gap being formed in the second direction between the second boundary and a side of the first colored part facing the second boundary.

    Abstract: There is provided an optical element for counterfeit prevention that has both high counterfeit preventing property and designability by a multi-optical element structure. The optical element has a second layer (3) having a relief structure on a front surface, a first layer (2) disposed on the second layer (3), and a third layer (6) in a thin film interposed between the second layer (3) and the first layer (2) and formed along a front surface of the relief structure. The second layer (3) has a refractive index lower than a refractive index of the first layer (2) and the third layer (6) has a refractive index higher than the refractive index of the first layer (2). The optical element has at least a first region (4) and a second region (5) in a plan view. In the first region (4), an electromagnetic wave that enters from a side of the first layer (2) in a specific angle range is configured to be totally reflected. In the second region (5), a relief structure that causes at least one of diffraction, interference, scattering, refraction, and absorption of an electromagnetic wave is disposed and the electromagnetic wave entering from the first layer (2) side is configured to be reflected by a refractive index difference between the first layer (2) and the third layer (6).
