Abstract: A thermoplastic molding composition comprises, based on the total of components A to C and, if desired, D and E, which in total give 100% by weight,a) as component A, from 10 to 98% by weight of at least one aromatic polyester,b) as component B, from 1 to 50% by weight of at least one particulate graft copolymer whose soft phase has a glass transition temperature below 0° C. and whose median particle size is from 50 to 1000 nm,c) as component C, from 1 to 50% by weight of at least one copolymer made from the following monomersc1) as component C1, from 50 to 90% by weight of at least one vinylaromatic monomer, andc2) as component C2, from 10 to 25% by weight of acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile,d) as component D, from 0 to 25% by weight of other compatible polymers hormogeneously miscible with components A and/or C or dispersible in these, ande) as component E, from 0 to 10% by weight of conventional additives, such as UV stabilizers, carbon black, pigments, oxidation retarders, lubricants and mold-release agents.Moldings made from these molding compositions and used in motor vehicle interiors are also described, as is the use of the molding compositions to produce the moldings.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic moulding material containing the following ingredients in relation to the sum of ingredients A-D and optionally E and F, representing a total of 100 wt. %: d) 10-97 wt. % of at least one aromatic polyester as ingredient A; e) 1-50 wt. % of at least one particle-shaped grafted copolymer with a soft phase glass transition temperature that is lower than 0 DEG C and an average particle size of 50-1000 nm as ingredient B; f) 1-50 wt. % of at least one copolymer made of monomers c1) 50-90 wt. % of at least one vinyl aromatic monomer as ingredient C1 and c2) 10-25 wt. % acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile as ingredient C2, as ingredient C; 1-50 wt. % glass fibers as ingredient D; f) 0-25 wt. % other ingredients that are compatible, can be mixed in a homogenous manner with ingredients A and/or C and can be dispersed therein, as ingredient E; f) 0-10 wt. % usual additives such as UV stabilizers, oxidation retarders, lubricating agents and release agents as ingredient F. The invention also relates to moulded parts made from said moulding materials and used in the interiors of motor vehicles. The invention further relates to the use of moulding materials in the production of moulded parts.

Abstract: The use of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) polymers to improve the chemical resistance, reduce the swelling index and improve the stress cracking resistance of styrene copolymers. Independent claims are also included for (a) thermoplastic moulding materials containing styrene copolymers, TFE polymers and optionally other components; (b) a process for the production of styrene polymers with better chemical resistance by making the components separately, mixing the styrene copolymer with a dispersion of the TFE polymer, optionally compounding with other components and then extruding the mixture; (c) an alternative process in which the TFE polymer is incorporated in the form of a solid or granules.

Abstract: The invention relates to a moulding material containing the following in relation to the sum of the components (A) to (G), which is 100 wt. % overall: a) 1 to 97.89 wt. % of a moulding material of at least one polycondensates with a viscosity number of 70 to 160 as component (A); b) 1 to 10 wt. % of at least one particulate graft copolymer with a glass transition temperature in the soft phase of less than 0 DEG C and an average particle size of 50 to 1000 nm as component (B); c) 1 to 10 wt. % of at least one copolymer as component (C), consisting of the following monomers: c1) 50 to 90 wt. % of at least one vinylaromatic monomer as component (C1) and c2) 10 to 50 wt. % acrylonitrile and/or methacrylonitrile as component (C2), in relation to component (C) respectively; d) 0 to 15 wt. % of a polycarbonate as component (D); e) 0.01 to 15 wt. % of a different polymer to component (B) as component (E), f) 0 to 20 wt. % of a different polyester to component (A) as component (F) and g) 0.1 to 10 wt. % usual additives such as carbon black, UV-stabilisers, antioxidants, lubricants and mould release agents as component (G). The invention also relates to moulded parts and composites and to the use of the moulding materials, moulded parts and composites.
