Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent an undesired line from being closed by independently counting a required time for line connection and a time required for setting up a FAX control procedure. CONSTITUTION: Dial information from an operation section 4 is compared with dial data in a storage section 6 and a CPU 1 discriminates whether or not the preceding connection is successful based on received dial information and acquires the line when successful and sends the received dial information to the line as a selection signal via a line connection section 5. Then the time required for line connection and the time required for setting up a FAX control procedure (initial identification time) are counted independently. When the line connection is not finished even lapse of the line connection required time, the FAX control procedure is not transited but the line is made open.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate incongruity to talk with a machine by sending out information to be sent to a callee side automatic answering telephone set stored in memory to a communication terminal by a manual operation. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic answering telephone guidance message is sent from a callee side via a handset 2 in dialing. a caller depresses the automatic ansvering telephone response button of a panel 12. In such a case, a message (telephone number, name) and a message (please call, later), etc., stored in a RAM 18 are read out via a voice IC 16, and they are transmitted to the callee side without interposing a microphone 15. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the incongruity to talk with the machine and to transmit the minimum required number of messages without cutting off speech. which enables an automatic answering telephone function to be sufficiently used.

When a special key is inputted from an operation panel 110, the communication opposite party specified by the stored incoming call number and other device not communicated such as a telephone set 114 connecting to the branch I interface connector 112 are used to realize the communication.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform high grade and high speed recording imparting uniform density from the beginning, by variably controlling not only one current supply time to each heat generating element corresponding to the temp. of a head but also the current supply cycle of each heat generating element corresponding to the current supply time. CONSTITUTION:The heat generating elements of a thermal head 6 are divided, for example, into four blocks and a current is supplied to said blocks successively to drive the same so as to generate heat. A CPU 1 reads the pulse width W of the enable signal corresponding to the temp. of the thermal head 6 measured by a temp. sensor 7 from the table preliminarily stored in a ROM 2 before starts the recording operation of one line to set the same. Next, it is judged whether the pulse width four times of the pulse width W is smaller than a usual one line cycle TA and, when said width is smaller, one line cycle T is set to TA. When the pulse width larger than TA, 4W+alpha is set to the cycle T. Herein, alpha is properly set according to the specification of the thermal printer and set to about 100mus for example.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the long-time storage of mail information and to utilize a mail box effectively by urging a receiving terminal to receive the mail information which is stored for longer than a specific time by a communication device equipped with the mail box for storing mail information from respective terminals. CONSTITUTION:When a write request for the mail box 17 is inputted from a transmitting terminal, the mail information from the transmitting terminal is received. Then the maximum permissible storage time of the received mail information is set in time data 33 in a table 18 according to the current time. When there is a request to read out the mail information from a terminal, the table 18 is referred to and the mail information is read out of the mail box according to a mail information disk address 34 corresponding to the terminal which sends out the read request and sent to the terminal which sends out the read request. Then the sent mail information in the mail box 17 is cleared. When there is no request to read, on the other hand, mail information which exceeds an effective storage time is decided in the mail box 17 and the control data 32 of the index data of the mail information is referred to; and the address of a receiving terminal is found and a reception urging signal is sent out to the terminal.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To record plural colors of pictures by a small sized and inexpensive recorder by providing a thermosensing recording mechanism and a thermal transfer recording mechanism so as to drive the thermosensing recording mechanism and the thermal transfer recording mechanism in response to a picture signal by each color forming a picture. CONSTITUTION:The thermosensing recording mechanism 3 and the thermal transfer recording mechanism 4 are provided on a carrying path of a recording sheet 1 and the sheet 1 passing through the mechanism 3 is turned back and carried to the mechanism 4. The mechanism 4 is arranged at a position opposite to the mechanism 3 in such a way that an ink film 4a is in contact with the recording face of the sheet 1. That is, a recording head 3a of the mechanism 3 is press contact onto a platen roller 3b via the sheet 1 in case of the thermosensing recording and directed upward while being turned a half in case of the thermal transfer and in press contact onto a platen roller 4d of the mechanism 4 via the film 4a and the sheet 1. In case of the thermal transfer recording, a head 3a is heated in response to a picture signal to melt the red ink 7 of the film 4a in a shape of the picture pattern or decreases its viscosity lower thereby transferring the ink onto the recording paper and recording plural colors of picture.

The output, after whose active state being detected at an information signal detection circuit 306, is stored in thc buffer memory 312 at every channel of the B1, the B2 and the D. Thus, by receiving the data in a unit of frame at every channel, and displaying it in the appropriate format, it is possible to efficiently use plural terminals by performing the centralized management of them by monitoring even when they are arranged separately.
