Abstract: A facsimile communication system and a communication apparatus reduce a loss time due to the synchronization of transmission/reception and shorten a communication time. They also shorten a communication time in a full duplex communication mode and allow proper switching of the full duplex communication at the transmission/reception replacement. DIS-CFR signals, EOP-DCN signals, NSS-TSI signals and TSI-DCS signals of a facsimile communication protocol are connected by synchronization signals so that the synchronization signals are sent even after the sending of the protocol signal. Thus, the sending of the synchronization signal for one second when the next protocol signal is sent is not necessary and a time required for the protocol signal is shortened. An ANSam signal to disable a function of an echo suppressor is sent when a call is detected and a calling station thereafter sends a protocol signal and an image signal in a manner not to cause signal interruption of 50 ms or longer, and at transmission/reception replacement at the end of the image signal from the calling station, a called station sends an ANSam signal and sends a protocol signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication terminal that can transmit data relating to a transmission image through transfer of a binary file and control/ instruct image data depending on a proper application. SOLUTION: The communication terminal has a means that transmits a circulation notice address as BFT data and transmits images to be circulated in one and same communication altogether. Furthermore, the communication terminal as a reception terminal has a means that detects its own address from the received BFT address to automatically select a transfer address, a function that detects a succeeding address from the BFT data to automatically skip the address and transfer the detected address when the transfer address cannot accept data due to a busy state and a function that returns a fact of defective transmission as an error message on the basis of the circulation data.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overflow of a memory at the receiving side and to allow the receiving side to obtain the same recording paper that is recorded on its both sides as that on the transmitting side by interrupting the transmission of the remaining originals when a signal is received from the receiving side to urge the inversion of originals and giving the notification to urge the inversion of originals even before the 1st sides of all originals are transmitted. SOLUTION: A CPU 5 performs the total control according to the software of a ROM 1, sets the both-sided originals on an original board of the transmitting side, operates a control panel 4 and calls a both-sided transmission instruction and a transmitting destination to start the transmission. A scanner 3 reads continuously the 1st sides of a originals and outputs them. When a signal is received from the receiving side to urge the inversion of the originals, the CPU 5 interrupts the transmission of the remaining originals and gives the notification to urge the inversion of the originals. Thereby an operator of the transmitting side inverts a bundle of transmitted originals, and the scanner 3 reads continuously the 2nd sides of original and transmits them. As a result, even the scanner 3 that reads only one of both sides of every original can also read the both sides of the original.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a facsimile equipment by providing a deciding means, which decides whether the data to be received are the image data or the voice data and a display means which displays that the voice data are received by a receiving means. SOLUTION: A receiving terminal starts to receive the facsimile communication and decides whether the received data are voice data. That is, with this decision, it is decided that the received data are voice data, if a DCS bit showing a voice data communication function is received from a transmitting terminal among the facsimile procedure signals transmitted to a transmitting terminal. If the received data are not voice data, an ordinary facsimile communication is carried out to receive a facsimile image. If the received data are voice data, a voice data pilot lamp 13 blinks on a control panel 4 to show that the voice data are being received. Thus, the operability of a facsimile device is improved for its user.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the facsimile terminal by which a transmission original is checked in advance. SOLUTION: After an image check button 10 is depressed at direct transmission, a destination address is entered and transmission is started to read an image of a 1st page of an original and the image is immediately outputted to a printer 8. The print-out is discriminated visually and when deterioration in the image is found out, an interrupt button 11 is depressed and the transmission is finished. When no deterioration is found out in the image, a restart button 12 is depressed and dialing is made for the start of transmission. Then an image of the 1st page stored in a memory is outputted in the case of memory transmission and the similar judgement is conducted.
