    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a mail box by sending mail information which is stored for longer than a specific time to a receiving terminal and deleting the main box by a communication device equipped with the main box for storing mail information from respective terminals. CONSTITUTION:When a write request is inputted to the mail box 17 from a transmission terminal, main information from the transmitting terminal is received and the maximum permissible storage time of the received mail information is set in time data 33 in a table 18 according to the current reception time. When there is a read request, the table 18 is referred to and the mail information to the terminal which sends the read request is read out of the mail box 17 according to its disk address 34 and sent to the terminal which sends out the read request. Then the sent information in the mail box 17 is deleted. When there is no read request, mail information which exceeds the effective storage time in the mail box 17 is decided and the address of its receiving terminal is found by referring to control data 32; and the mail information is read out of the mail box 17 and sent and the mail information in the mail box 17 is deleted.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a portable terminal equipment by sequring the tilt of a display device even at the side opposite to an operator. CONSTITUTION:An operator performs an input operation via a keyboard 4 and tilts the display picture of the result of said input operation to the opposite side (the customer side) through the dial control. Thus a detection switch 6 is turned on and a CPU 10 receives signals via an interface 13 to replace the contents of a display buffer in a RAM 12. In other words, the display screen of a liquid crystal display 7 is vertically inverted. In such a way, the operability is improved with a portable terminal equipment.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce operator's misoperation and to improve operability by allowing only the ten-key on a keyboard to be used for data input. CONSTITUTION:A portable data input terminal device has a liquid crystal display panel 1, function keys 2 for operation selection, the ten-key 3, and control keys 4, and a key switch 5 for identification code input selection is further provided. Then, the function keys 2, etc., are operated to perform operation. When an identification code is inputted, the switch 5 which allows only the input of the ten-key 3 is turned on and this device is passed to, for example, a customer to input the customer's identification code. Consequently, none of other key inputs is permitted, so this function is essential with regard to the safety of use.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the storage of a mail requiring preservation necessary for further preservation that is, erasing quickly unrequired mails by deciding the optimum storage period at every mail in a message communication system having a mail box. CONSTITUTION:An MHS message handling system 1 connecting to plural terminal equipments 2 consists of an MHS host computer 3 (MHS host) controlling message communication and a mail box 4. A mail deposited from a terminal equipment is registered by a mail box 4 by the MHS host 3 in the MHS 1. The mail (message) consists of an envelope 5 and a content 6 (text), the MHS host 3 analyzes the envelope of the message and sets a designated value to the storage period if the storage period is designated. When no storage period is designated, whether or not the mail is a fast delivery mail is checked and the number of simultaneous deliveries is analyzed, and the optimum storage period is decided by the result of analysis and the storage period of the message is managed based on the obtained storage period.

When a transmission request exists, a data frame is transmitted and when the transmission is finished, the RS is turned off and the carrier transmission is stopped.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease malfunctions of an operator and to improve the operability of a keyboard device by sorting roughly function keys if provided in a large number to indicate a range of a selection and to indicate a key input range. CONSTITUTION:Function keys 3 are sorted into the 1st and 2nd groups, that is, red groups 3-1-3-4 and blue groups 3-5-3-8 respectively. The input signals supplied from a keyboard 11 are applied to a CPU12 and processed. Then a liquid crystal display panel LCD1 displays the input signal, the processing data and commands to the operator. While the command signal for lighting of a display device which is delivered when necessary from the CPU12 lights up a red display device 4-1 or a blue display device 4-2. In such a way, the operator can select and feed the keys on the keyboard 11 which are printed in red or blue in accordance with the guidance given to the operator through glowing of an LED4-1 or LED4-2. This decreases malfunctions and improves operability of a keyboard device.
