Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can stably manufacture a dispersant for a hydraulic composition exhibiting superior dispersing effect and viscosity reducing effect to a hydraulic composition, on an industrially practical level with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: The phosphate-based polymer suitable for the dispersant for a hydraulic composition is obtained by mixing a specified monomer 1 having a polyoxyalkylene group, a phosphoric acid monoester-based monomer 2, and a phosphoric acid diester-based monomer 3, adjusting the pH of the resultant mixture to 7 or lower and copolymerizing the monomers in the presence of a sulfonic acid-based chelating agent. SOLUTION: In this ground improvement method, (1) the soluble salt of the (co) polymer of an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid, (2) soluble bicarbonate, as necessary, (3) an organic acid (salt) and a polyphosphoric acid (salt), and (4) an additive including a defoaming agent are mixed in a cement-containing hardening material at 0.1 to 25/100 mass ratio. The water slurry of the thus obtained cement compound is filled in the ground and hardened so that the volume ratio thereof becomes 0.1 to 1.5.

The foundation improving work is carried out by mixing the additive into a cement-containing curable material at a mass ratio of (0.1-25)/100, grouting an aqueous slurry of the obtained cement composition into the foundation at a volume ratio of 0.1-1.5 and curing the composition.

SOLUTION: This admixture for a concrete is prepared by blending 100 pts.wt. mixture comprising a copolymer, a high quality water reducing agent and a water-soluble polymer having a ratio of (35-90) to (5-40) to (5-60), (with the proviso that the total thereof is 100 pts.wt.), with 0.01-30 pts.wt. defoaming agent. The copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing monomers of formula I and II. The molar ratio of the monomer of formula I to that of formula II is (1/90) to (50/50). A weight average molecular weight (measured by a gel- permeation chromatography method and reduced to a sodium polystryrenesulfonate) is 3,000-200,000. An aromatic water reducing agent is used as the high quality water reducing agent. A polyalkylene glycol derivative is used as the water-soluble polymer. A product having an excellent surface appearance is obtained by using the admixture for the concrete.
