Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a concrete admixture capable of providing a low viscosity and a specified flow rate and being superior in slump holdability by using specific two kinds of copolymer components as indispensable constituents. SOLUTION: A first component is a copolymer obtained by polymerizing (a) a monomer expressed by formula I (R1-2 ; H, methyle, m1 ; 0-2, AO; a 2-3C oxyalkylene, n1 ; 1-30, X; H, a 1-3C alkyl) with (b) one or more kinds of monomers selected from among compounds of formulae II, III (R3-5 ; H, methyl, (CH2 )m2 COOM2 , R6 ; H, methyl, M1-2 and Y1 ; an alkali metal, alkaline earthy metal, ammonium, alkyl ammonium, m2 ; 0-2), and a second component is a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (c) a monomer expressed by formula IV (R7-8 ; H, methyl, m3 ; 0-2, AO; a 2-3C oxyalkylene, n2 ; 100-300) with (d) one or more kinds of monomers selected from among the compounds expressed by formulae V, VI (R9-11 ; H, methyl, (CH2 )m4 COOM4 , R12 ; H, methyl, M3-4 and Y2 ; the same as M1-2 and Y1 , m4 ; 0-2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the cement dispersant enhancing the flowability of a con crete, a mortar, a paste, etc., and improving applicability and workability by adding the reaction product of a specific glycidyl ether compound, etc., with a polysaccharide to a cement composition. CONSTITUTION:0.02-3.0 pts.wt. of a product having a weight-average mol.wt. of 3000-500000 and obtained by reacting (A) a 1-4C alcohol-alkylene oxide adduct glycidyl-ether product of formula I (R is 1-4C alkyl; AO is 2-3C oxylalkylene group; (n) is 2-3000) or a 1-4C alcohol-alkylene oxide adduct halogenation product of formula II (X is Br, Cl, I; Y is H, methyl) with (B) a polysaccharide and/or its derivative in a weight ratio of 5/95 to 95/5 is added as a dispersing agent in an amount of 0.02-3.0 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of a cement. If necessary, a known dispersant such as a polycarboxylic acid salt is simultaneously used.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a foam-containing concrete having excellent foaming properties, fineness and stability in a cement composition system, by using a foam- entraining agent having a specific chemical composition. CONSTITUTION:This foam-entraining agent for concrete is shown by the general formula R1O(AO)nCH2COOX [R1 is a 6-26C alkyl or a group of formula I; R2 is H or a 1-9C alkyl; AO is a 2-3C oxyalkylene group; (n) is 1-100; X is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium, an alkylammonium, or a substituted alkylammonium]. The foam-entraining is optionally mixed with a cement admixture and further an antifoaming agent. The cement admixture used with the foam-entraining agent is selected from a naphthalenesulfonic acid formaldehyde condensate, a melamine sulfonate formaldehyde condensate and a ligninsulfonate. The foam-entraining agent is used for cellular concrete, as a foaming agent for ALC or for a concrete composition mixed with fly ash.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title admixture capable of improving the water reduc ing effect, slump loss-preventive effect and strength-developing effect for con crete, comprising a specific ingredient and a condensation polymer produced by condensation of phenol, etc., with formaldehyde in the presence of an amino- based polymerization inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, (A) a condensation polymer 1000-50000 in weight-average molecular weight is prepared by condensation at a pH of 3-12 of at least one compound selected from phenol (derivatives), melamine (derivatives) and urea with formaldehyde in the presence of an amino-based polymerization inhibitor such as N-methyl sulfonated urea. Then, (B) a water-soluble polymer 1000-50000 in molecular weight made up of constituent unit of the formula [A1 and B are each-COOZ (Z is H, etc.)] is prepared by amidation of a polymer formed by polymerizing at least one compound selected from acrylic acid, etc., through radical polymerization process. The objective concrete admixture is composed of 30-95wt.% of the component A and 70-5wt.% of the component B.

CONSTITUTION:A formaldehyde adduct cocondensate of 3-5 components composed of compounds expressed by formulas I, II and/or III and compounds expressed by formulas IV and/or V is used as a component of a cement admixture. In the formula, R denotes H or lower alkyl; X denotes H, alkyl, carboxyl or its alkali metallic salt, sulfone group or its alkali metallic salt, OH or methoxy group; Y denotes carboxyl or its alkali metallic salt; groups Z denote H or -CH2SO3X (X denotes alkali metal), provided that at least two of the groups Z denote H. The formaldehyde adduct cocondensate to be used has a three-dimensional molecular structure and it is presumed that the slump loss can be reduced thereby.

CONSTITUTION:Since the workability of concrete is kept for a long time by this invention, the cement dispersant is used for various purposes. This dispersant is used when the pumping of concrete is suspended or used as the cement milk or mortar grouting assistant. The dispersant is also effectively used to prevent separation of materials and to keep the flowability of the cement formulation placed by a tremie, underwater concrete, concrete in the continuous underground wall, shotcrete, centrifugally formed concrete, vibrated and compacted concrete, etc.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a concrete admixture excellent in dispersibility, the fluidity holding property of concrete or the like by incorporating a water soluble copolymer of a specific monomer and a copolymerizable monomer or its water soluble salt as essential components. SOLUTION: The water soluble copolymer or its water soluble salt is produced by copolymerizing a monomer expressed by the formula (AO is a 2-3C oxyalkylene and (n) is 50-300 in average) and a monomer copolymerizable with the monomer. And the concrete admixture is obtained by incorporating the water soluble copolymer (salt) as an essential component and as necessary, blending additives such as a high performance water reducing agent, a fluidizing agent and a foaming agent. Further, the monomer expressed by the formula is a polyalkylene glycol monoallyl ether and is obtained by addition-reacting ethylene oxide or propylene oxide to an allyl alcohol. And as the copolymerizable monomer, maleic acid, citraconic acid or a monomer obtained by introducing a 2-3C oxyalkylene group to these acids is suitably used.

The copolymer A and the defoaming agent B such as dimethyl polysiloxane are blended in the ratio (weight ratio of solid matter) of A/B=100/0.01-5.0. In the formula I, each of R1 and R2 is hydrogen or methyl, m1 is 0-2, AO is a 2-3C oxyalkylene, (n) is 110-300, X is H or a 1-3C alkyl. In the formulas II and III, each of R3-R5 is H, methyl or (CH2)m2COOM2, R6 is H or methyl, each of M1, M2 and Y is H, an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, an alkylammonium or a substituted alkyl ammonium and m2 is 0-2.

This concrete admixture is mixed with 5-50wt.% of a well-known admixture.
