Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently form an uneven metallic layer by plating on the surface of the inner wall of a heat exchanger tube by changing the voltage of a DC power source to the positive side. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger tube 10 and heat radiating fins 3 are temporarily fixed at prescribed positions and the tube 10 is expanded to press-bond the tube 10 and the fine 3 together. The tube 10 is then combined with a connecting pipe 11 and a circulating pump 12, and a plating soln. 9 in a plating tank 7 is circulated through the inside of the tube 10. The plating soln. 9 is a copper sulfate soln. contg. an oxyethylene surfactant and low concn. chloride ions as additives. Positive charge is applied to a counter electrode 14 as the anode from a DC power source 13 and negative charge to one connection terminal 15 as the cathode. Thus, as uneven metallic layer is formed by plating on the surface of the inner wall of the heat exchanger tube 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily produce a heat exchanger which has an increased surface area and transmits boiling heat satisfactorily by inserting anode bars into plural pieces of straight heat transmission pipes expanded and fixed to radiation fins, pouring a plating liquid into the pipes and subjecting the inside surfaces to rugged electroplating. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the parallel straight heat transmission pipes 10 are expanded and the radiation fins 3 are fixed thereto. The anode bars 15 are then passed via an insulating cap 11 into the pipes 10 along the central axis thereof and further masking member 17 are provided to the ends 18 on the inside surfaces of the pipes 10. The plating liquid preferably added with an oxyethylene surface active agent and low-concn. chloride ions is poured into the pipes 10 and electric current is passed between the bars 15 and the pipes 10 from a DC power source 14. The inside surfaces of the pipes 10 are thereby subjected to the rugged electroplating 6. Both ends of a U-pipe 4 are inserted into the masking parts 18 at the ends of the parallel pipes 10 and are joined by brazing, by which the heat exchanger is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a metallic plating layer having adequate dendrite ruggedness on the inside wall of a heat transmission pipe by using the wall surface of said pipe as a cathode side and pouring a plating liquid prepd. by adding an oxyethylene surface active agent and a low concn. of chloride as an additive to said liquid into the heat transmission pipe thereby plating the inside wall thereof. CONSTITUTION:The heat transmission pipe 10 and fins 3 are tentatively fitted to each other in a prescribed position. The pipe 10 and the fins 3 are press welded and fixed by expanding the pipe 10. The pipe 10, a connecting pipe 11 and a circulating pump 12 are then combined and the acidic copper sulfate plating liquid 9 added with the oxyethylene surface active agent and a low concn. of chloride in a plating cell 7 is circulated toward the side A in the pipe 10. Negative electric charge is thereupon applied to a counter electrode 15 of an iron bar from a DC power source and said electrode is used as the cathode side. Positive electric charge is applied to a connecting terminal 16 as the anode side. Since the terminal 16 and the pipe 10 conduct to each other, the pipe 10 has the positive charge and the inside wall of the pipe 10 is plated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a uniform rugged plating layer having excellent adhesiveness on the inside wall surface of a heat transmission pipe by passing a plating liquid added with an oxyethylene surface active agent and low-concn. chlorine ion in the heat transmission pipe and inserting an oxygen-contg. gas into the plating liquid just before the inlet of the heat transmission pipe. CONSTITUTION:A connecting pipe 11 and a circulation pump 12 are combined with the heat transmission pipe 10 fixed with heat radiating fins 3. The plating liquid 8 in a plating cell 7 is circulated in the pipe 10. A positive charge is applied to a counter electrode 15 and a negative charge to a connecting terminal 16 by a DC power source 14 and the cations of the plating liquid 9 are deposited on the counter electrode 15. The cations are deposited on the inside wall surface of the pipe 10 when the positive and negative charge are changed over reverse by means of a selector switch 13. The metallic plating layer having the good adhesiveness is obtd. by the air sucked through a fine through-hole 19 provided just before the inlet of the pipe 10. The oxyethylene surface active agent and low-concn. chlorine ions are added to the liquid 9 and therefore the rugged metallic layer is formed. Both ends of such pipe 10 are sealed, by which a heat exchanger is formed.
