The repulsion means 51 which presses the member to a first position when the cassette holding member 41 is located at the first position side, and to a second position side from an intermediate position when it is located at the second position is provided. At the time of inserting or drawing out the cassette, the cassette holding member 41, after the slide block 26 being moved to the draw-out position, is moved to the second position by the manual operation. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the recording medium cassette from being dropped accidentally from the cassette holding member 41.

Then positioning pins 13 and 13' are set into the positioning holes of a cassette housing 75. Thus the cassette 74 is positioned at its correct place.
