Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable turning off power sources of all AV devices out of an AV system when a video signal is interrupted, to enable turning off power sources of all AV devices when a recording medium of either of a recording side and a reproducing side reaches a finish position at the time of dubbing, to set a timer, and to enable turning off power sources of all AV devices when the set hour elapses or the set time elapses. CONSTITUTION:An AV system is constituted with a television receiver 1, four VTRs 2-5, a video disk player 6, and a satellite broadcast tuner 7. After a video signal is interrupted and the fixed time elapses, power sources of an AV center and all AV devices can be turned off by a 'auto-all-off' function. Also, when a recording medium of either of a recording side and reproducing side is finished at the time of dubbing, power sources of the AV center and all AV devices can be turned off by a 'copy-end-all-off' function. When the set hour elapses or the set time elapses, power sources of the AV center and all AV devices can be turned off by a 'timer-all-off' function.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an AV equipment operation management system whose entire constitution is simple for evading malfunction and not propagating the malfunction. CONSTITUTION:An AV center equipment 12 and plural AV equipments are connected through a communication bus 10 provided with an AV signal line for transmitting AV signals and a control signal line for transmitting control signals. For instance, a first VTR 14 and an MDP 16 are connected through a first selector 18 and a second VTR 22 is directly connected. The AV center equipment 12 is provided with a built-in control circuit 126 constituted of a microcomputer or the like provided with a ROM and a RAM, a display part 12U for displaying the operation confirmation message of the AV equipment, a remote control reception part 124 and an operation panel part 122 for instructing the operation of the AV equipment. The state of the AV equipment and signal paths are stored in the RAM and the protection management of the AV equipment is performed in the built-in control circuit 126 inside the AV center equipment 12. Preferably, the operation state of the AV equipment and the signal paths are displayed at the display part 120.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce traffic amount, to improve transmission efficiency and to simplify a communication procedure without necessitating a frame for notifying that data is transmitted in the subsequent frame, which is conventionally required. CONSTITUTION:The microprocessor 22 of a VTR 20 forms a frame transmitting data by defining the control bit of a head frame as a data communication command and a bus interface circuit 24 transmits the transmission signal of this frame to a TV 10 via a bi-directional bus 1. The bus interface circuit 14 of the TV 10 receives the transmission signal, and a microprocessor 12 detects the communication of data based on the control bit of the transmission signal and controls a TV monitor 10b so that it may perform the display based on received data.

CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 22 transmits data to a TV 10 via a bi- directional bus 1 by dividing transmission data into plural frames, by locking the device of a reception side for the control bit of the first frame and by releasing the lock of the device of the reception side for the control bit of the last frame, when data amount to be transmitted is larger than the data capacity of a data field 55. The microprocessor 12 detects the write in the lock state of data based on the control bit, invalidates a reception signal when the transmission signal from a VDP 30 is received and notifies the VDP 30 that data is in the lock state.
