    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture an oriented polyester film having excellent surface flatness and slippery as well as adhesivity, by using a polyester containing a specific inner particle source and a higher fatty acid compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective oriented polyester film having a surface roughness Ra of 0.003-0.025mum and a static friction coefficient mus of 0.10-0.70 is prepared from a polyester composed of (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyester, (B) 0.001- 1pt.wt. of inner particles or inert particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-3mum and (B) 0.005-2pts.wt. of a metallic salt or a partial metallic compound composed mainly of a 18-33C higher fatty acid monocarboxylic acid or a higher fatty acid amide composed mainly of a 18-33C compound. The inner particle is the particle produced by the bonding of the component of the polyester with the Ca, Mg and/or Li compounds added to the reaction system in the synthesis of the polyester.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate such a fault that a color pattern due to interference of light is formed in some direction of view by using a plastic film which has density within a specific range and also has refractive indexes in three longitudinal, lateral, and thickness directions in specific relation as substrates of a liquid-crystal cell. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film is formed having 1.350-1.420g/cm density, lateral/longitudinal magnification of elongation in shown relation, where n1 is the refractive index in a main orientation direction, n2 is the refractive index in a direction perpendicular to the main orientation direction, and n3 is the refractive index in the thickness direction. This film is used as substrates 2 and 2 to manufacture a display cell by sealing liquid crystal 5 in the cell equipped with transparent electrode patterns 3 and 3, polarizing films 1 and 1, and a reflection or scattering plate 6. Thus, the fault that display becomes hard to see owing to a color pattern formed in some direction of view is eliminated even when the cell has large area or a curved display surface.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a laminated film of even thickness and excellent transparency by such an arrangement wherein common extrusion is carried out so that a film of crystalline polyolefine of high melting point is laminated on both sides of a film of crystalline polyolefine of low molecular weight, and then bi-axial stretching and heat treatment are carried out. CONSTITUTION:At least one of crystalline low molecular weight polyolefine A of which extreme viscosity is 0.5-1.5 and crystalline polyolefine B of higher melt ing point is added with a crystal forming nuclear agent of 0.001-0.5wt% and they are simultaneously extruded so that films of polyolefine B are laminated on both sides of polyolefine A. Next, this laminated films is bi-axially stretched and then heat treated at a temperature higher than the melting point of polyolefine A and lower than that of polyolefine B. By this manner, uneven thickness at the time of two-shaft elongation is eliminated and a laminated film of polyolefine of good transparency can be manufactured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the polypropylene film having a high tensile strength in both lengthwise and widthwise directions with better productivity without cutting film by biaxially stretching and then restretching longitudinally an unstretched sheet with a specific melt-crystallization temperature under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:The unstretched sheet of polypropylene having a melt crystallization temperature of 100-125 deg.C is biaxially stretched to obtain the biaxially stretched polypropylene film having a [widthwise refractive index]-[lengthwise refractive index] value of 0.010-0.030. Then, the film is restretched to 1.5-3.0 times in lengthwise direction while controlling its widthwise shrinking ratio to less than 20% to obtain the objective film having the lengthwise tensile strength of 30kg/mm. or more and the widthwise tensile strength of 20kg/mm. or more.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:The title film having improved heat sealability, travel characteristics, and blocking resistance, obtained by coating both sides of a biaxially oriented polypropylene film with a specific propylene-butene-1 copolymer to specify a wet tension of the surface of the copolymer layer. CONSTITUTION:Both sides of a biaxially oriented polypropylene film obtained by blending an isotactic polypropylene having a melt index of 1-5g/10 minutes and an isotactic index of 95-98% with 0.1-0.8 wt.% of a compound shown by the formula I and/or II (R1 is 6-22C hydrocarbon; R2-4 are the same or different lower alkylene; X is -OH, -CONH2, -COOH or their salts) is coated with a film having a thickness of 0.5-5mu, consisting of a propylene-butene-1 copolymer having a melt index of 2-15g/10 minutes and 21-32 wt.% of butene-1. The surface of the copolymer layer is subjected to corona discharge treatment at 70-100 deg.C and 5-20 W/m .minute to make a wet tension of the surface of 33-42 dyne/cm.
