    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided to place a conductor pipe and a casing in a subsea environment. In one embodiment, a conductor pipe is jetted or drilled into the subsea floor. Thereafter, a casing drilling assembly comprising a drill casing and a drilling assembly is connected to the drill pipe using a crossover. The drilling assembly urged into the seafloor until a casing latch on the drilling assembly is engaged with a casing profile of the conductor pipe. During drilling, instrumentation in the drilling assembly may be used to measure geophysical data. The measured data may be used to optimize the drilling process. After the drill casing is engaged with the conductor pipe, cementing may be performed to set the drill casing.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus enable expanding a tubular in a wellbore. The method and apparatus include running a bottom hole assembly (BHA) into a wellbore. The BHA is anchored to the wellbore and a portion of the BHA is released from th e anchor. An expansion member is then pulled by a work string through the tubular thereby engaging the tubular with the wellbore. The work string is reconnected to th e anchor and used to release the anchor. The BHA is then removed from the wellbore.

Further provided are methods and apparatus for successfully recovering from a failed expansion so that a shoe test can be completed without replacement of the expandable casing portion. In one recovery method, a selectively actuatable fluid circulation tool is provided to further expand the expandable portion or perform a cementing operation. Additionally, methods and apparatus are provided to drill a wellbore and form an annular fluid barrier in a single trip.

    Abstract: A downhole differential flow control valve (50) is provided that utilizes a differential pressure area having one pressure area on which the wellbore pressure (Pw) acts and a second area different from the first area on which pressure (Pt) in the tubing acts. The differential area reduces the load in which a spring (66) is required to exert a closing force in the valve. Thus, a coil spring can be used to improve the closing speeds of the valve.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a simple debris removal apparatus (200) for use in a wellbore. In one aspect of the invention a modular, interchangeable venturi (210) is provided which can be retrofit into an existing debris bailer having a filter and a debris collection container (225). In another aspect of the invention, a venturi is utilised to create a negative pressure in a wellbore sufficient to actuate a retrieval tool for a downhole device. In yet another aspect of the invention, a combination tool is provided which can evacuate debris in a wellbore, thereby uncovering a downhole device which can then be removed in a single trip. In yet another aspect of the invention, a debris removal apparatus is provided with a method for utilising the apparatus in a wellbore on coiled tubing.
