Abstract:
Present invention describes the direct catalytic liquid phase synthesis of caprolactam from cyclohexanone, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. The invention can be carried out by using mesoporous materials amongst the MMS family (mesoporous molecular sieves) as catalysts, such as Ti-MCM-41, A1-MCM-41 and Ti-SBA-15 materials at temperatures between 20 and 120 °C.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high purity lactam comprising double-bond-containing impurities in 15 ppm by weight or less and a method for producing the same. The present invention is characterized in that one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a ketone, an oxime and an amide compound are purified by hydrogenation and/or crystallization for eliminating impurities containing a double bond.
Abstract:
A process is provided for producing ε-caprolactam from cyclohexanone oxime. The process comprises a evaporation step of a mixture of cyclohexanone oxime and a solvent by introducing the mixture into a fluidized bed in which inert particles is fluidized by an inert gas, the particles having heat enough to evaporate the mixture; and a rearrangement step of cyclohexanone oxime in the evaporated mixture into ε-caprolactam by a gas phase Beckmann rearrangement reaction using a solid catalyst, excluding a catalyst consisting of a boric acid or a boron oxide.

Abstract:
A method for producing ε-caprolactam by reacting cyclohexanone with a nitrogen source and oxygen wherein ε-caprolactam is produced from cyclohexanone in a single stage at a high selectivity by effecting the reaction in the presence of an oxide catalyst containing one or more metals M(s) selected from metals belonging to the groups 3 to 12 in the periodic table.
