Abstract:
A floating floor system and a floor panel and method for use with the same that includes a snap-fit locking assembly that provides vertical locking between vadjacent floor panels to minimize and/or prevent ledging therebetween. In one embodiment, a protuberance and a recess are also provide on the floor panels to provide horizontal locking. The snap-fit locking assembly comprises: a locking member protruding from a first flange and comprising an undercut surface; and a locking slot formed In a second flange. The snap-fit locking assembly is configured so that when the locking member of a first one of the panels is disposed within the locking slot of a second one of the panels, the first and second panels are vertically locked together via mechanical interaction between the undercut surface of the locking member of the first panel and a locking surface of the second flange of the second panel
Abstract:
A modular plastic floor tile has a body of a first polymer compound and features overmolded onto the body from a second polymer compound. The compounds may be different from each other in hardness and/or color. The features may include raised pads on the upper surface. The pads on the upper surface may be injection-molded from the lower surface through through-holes. Crush rings on the upper surface of the floor tile, around the perimeter of the pads, provide a tight overmold shutoff and will substantially prevent flashing of the second polymer compound.
Abstract:
A guiding means at a joint comprising groove (1) and tenon (2) preferably intended to be joined with glue. The tenon (2) and/or groove (1) includes guiding wedges (3).
Abstract:
A floor for a basketball court or the like assembled from a plurality of separate floor sections arranged in staggered rows with each section including a plurality of spaced apart sleepers, a subfloor secured to the sleepers, and a wood strip flooring layer secured to the subfloor. Abutting edges of adjoining floor sections are reinforced by tongues and complementary edge pockets mounted on respective abutting edges of adjoining sections. The edge pockets may be formed by recessing the subfloor inwardly of outer edges of the sleepers and the flooring layer. A similar edge pocket may be formed on the adjoining floor section that the tongue is received into. Each tongue is preferably fabricated of a tough, non-marring polymeric material such as ultra-high molecular weight plastic. Alternatively, a similar tongue and pocket arrangement may be formed by mounting a tongue and bracket set on the subfloors of adjoining floor sections.
Abstract:
A portable activity floor comprised of a plurality of separate panels that can be readily and selectively interlocked together into a finalized configuration. Each panel has an underlayment providing a core with spaced stringers fastened to the underside thereof. Elongated finishing strips mounted on the upper surface of the underlayment form the outer surface of the panel. In one type of floor assembly, alternate strips are longer than their adjacent strips at the inner side of each panel to form laterally spaced interlock fingers. A pair of hinge members pivotally connects adjacent panels to one another and allows them to be relatively pivoted on a fixed axis with finger interlock alignment accuracy from an initial connected position to a fully assembled position in which the fingers of the finishing strips closely mesh and interlock. Further, the hinge members when connected prevent lateral movement of adjacent panels. This allows the hinge assembly to be used with many types of floors, such as in addition to floors with interlock fingers, square edge floors, square end floors and parquet floors.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to building panels 1,1' provided with a mechanical locking system including a tongue 30, at an edge of a first panel 1, cooperating with a tongue groove 20, at an edge of an adjacent second panel 1', for vertical locking of the building panels. The edge of the first panel is provided with a displacement groove 60, which is downwardly open, and includes an inner wall 61, an outer wall 62, and an upper wall 67. The tongue 30 is formed out of the edge of the first panel. A resilient and displaceable and part 66 of the tongue 30 is displaceable into the displacement groove 60.
Abstract:
Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system that may be locked with a vertical displacement of a first panel against a second panel. The locking system includes a first rigid and a second flexible joint edge section with different locking functions. The first edge section provides a horizontal locking and the second section provides a vertical locking.
Abstract:
A prefabricated element or floors or floor baseboards is described that includes a rigid base having an upper surface and two opposed longitudinal lateral surfaces, the upper surface and lateral surfaces being covered by a layer made of vinyl fabric. A modular floor tile is also described that includes a plurality of the prefabricated elements mounted on a rigid support. The invention enables an outdoor decorated wood flooring with no need of maintenance to be realized.
