1. 청구범위에 기재된 발명이 속하는 기술분야 본 발명은 홈 네트워크 시스템에서 이동통신용 휴대 단말기를 이용하여 PC에 연결된 로컬 프린터에 대한 제어 방법에 관한 것임. 2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제 본 발명은 홈 네트워크 시스템에 있어서 홈 네트워크 시스템에 포함되지 않는 로컬 장치인 프린터에 대한 제어가 홈 네트워킹 장치인 이동통신용 휴대 단말기를 통해 이루어지도록 하는 홈 네트워크 시스템에서의 이동통신용 휴대 단말기를 이용한 프린터 제어 방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있음. 3. 발명의 해결 방법의 요지 본 발명은, 이동통신용 휴대 단말기와 PC(Personal Computer)를 포함하는 홈 네트워크 시스템에서 상기 이동통신용 휴대 단말기를 이용하여 상기 PC에 연결된 로컬 프린터를 제어하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 이동통신용 휴대 단말기와 상기 PC를 홈 네트워킹을 통해 연결하는 제 1 단계; 상기 이동통신용 휴대 단말기를 이용하여 상기 PC에 대해 상기 PC내의 컨텐츠를 검색하고 선택하는 제 2 단계; 상기 이동통신용 휴대 단말기가 상기 PC에 대해 상기 로컬 프린터를 통해 상기 선택된 컨텐츠에 대한 프린팅을 수행할 것을 요청하는 제 3 단계; 상기 PC가 상기 프린팅 요청 메시지에 따라 상기 로컬 프린터에 대해 프린팅 작업을 생성하고 상기 선택된 컨텐츠를 전송하여 프린트하도록 하는 제 4 단계; 및 상기 로컬 프린터로부터 상기 프린팅 작업에 대한 결과를 상기 PC를 통해 상기 이동통신용 휴대 단말기가 전달받는 제 5 단계를 포함함. 4. 발명의 중요한 용도 본 발명은 홈 네트워크 시스템 등에 이용됨.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reducing a PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) in an OFDM communication system are provided to reduce the PAPR by controlling a phase of a bottom block. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing a PAPR in an OFDM communication system includes a PAPR comparator, a bottom block divider, a peak value optimization unit, a plurality of multipliers, and an additional information insertion unit. The PAPR comparator(107) is used for generating a control signal to control a phase when a PAPR is larger than a threshold value. The bottom block divider(102) is used for dividing parallel data into bottom blocks. The peak value optimization unit(103) is used for outputting control elements corresponding to the bottom blocks and additional data corresponding to the control elements according to the control signal. The multipliers(111-114) are used for performing the phase transition for the bottom blocks by multiplying the bottom blocks by the control elements. The additional information insertion unit(104) provides the additional data to an IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform).
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for determining by a UTRAN a persistence value having a value between 0 and 1 for adjusting a number of access preambles from a plurality of UEs requiring assignment of a common packet channel (CPCH). The method includes the steps of counting a number of the access preambles detected in an access preamble period having a predetermined period; and determining the persistence value based on the number of counted access preambles. The persistence value is determined in a unit of transport format (TF), physical common packet channel (PCPCH), or CPCH set.

PURPOSE: A method for assigning different ranging code sets between a cell and a neighboring cell in an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) wireless communication system is provided to differentiate ranging codes used every neighboring cell, in order to easily know whether ranging signals belong to terminals included in a self cell, thereby preventing deterioration of a ranging success probability. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits ranging information to all mobile terminals of a cell(310). The base station receives ranging signals from the mobile terminals corresponding to the ranging information through assigned sub channels(312). The base station decides whether ranging processes in accordance with the ranging signals are proper to ranging standards(314). If so, the base station decides whether ranging codes proper to the ranging standards exist within a self ranging code set(316). If so, the base station transmits ranging response signals to the mobile terminals(318). The base station decides whether time for transmitting system information comes(320). If not, the base station completes the process.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to efficiently reduce a peak-to-average power ratio in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing wireless communication system without signal distortion. CONSTITUTION: A comparator(210) compares a soft-clipping start point C with an amplitude of an OFDM signal s(t) from a parallel/series converter. When the amplitude of an OFDM signal s(t) is less than the soft-clipping start point C, the first operational amplifier(212) outputs the OFDM signal s(t). When the amplitude of an OFDM signal s(t) is equal to or greater than the soft-clipping start point C, the second operational amplifier(214) outputs the soft-clipping start point C. An adder(216) adds the soft-clipping start point C from the second operational amplifier(214) to the OFDM signal s(t) from the first operational amplifier(212) and outputs a soft-clipped signal Ssoft-clip(t).

PURPOSE: A ranging interval and ranging sub channel allocation method for initial ranging of an orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) system is provided, which reduces ICI(Inter-Channel Interference) between ranging signals in a TDD mode OFDMA wireless communication system. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for allocating ranging interval for initial ranging with a subscriber station in a base station of a multi user orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) wireless communication system, a receiving interval of an initial ranging signal is determined by reflecting maximum delay predicted while transmitting and receiving data with the subscriber station. System information required in the initial ranging including the determined receiving interval are broadcasted to all subscriber stations in a cell through a broadcasting channel. And the initial ranging signal from the subscriber stations is received in correspondence to the system information as to all symbols received from the subscriber stations in the determined receiving interval.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for gating a dedicated physical control channel in a mobile communication system is provided to increase resource efficiency to a downlink physical common channel by gating the dedicated physical control channel of a dedicated physical channel and increasing the number of terminal using the downlink physical common channel. CONSTITUTION: If transmitting data do not exist during a setting time through a dedicated physical or gating start request is generated according to the request of a system(813), a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) starts a process£1|(815). The BTS starts the transmission of a gating start command while the process£1| is performed(817). The BTS down-counts the number of the gating start command transmission(819), The BTS checks whether the down-counted value of the number of the gating start command transmission is 0(821). If the down-counted value of the number of the gating start command transmission is 0, the BTS stops the gating start command transmission(823).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A common packet channel communication apparatus of a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system and a method thereof are provided to reduce errors of the channel assignment signal from a base station to a mobile station by transmitting a message via the common channel. CONSTITUTION: Multipliers(601,602,616) multiply two CA(channel assignment)-signatures selected by a CA-signature selector(631) and 1 together, and multiply the other CA-signatures and 0 together. The selected two CA-signatures are a CPCH(Common Packet Channel) assigned in a mobile station by a base station. Multipliers(671,672,686) multiply one of orthogonal codes corresponding to a signature for detecting a collusion selected by a CA-signature selector(651) and 1 together, and multiply the others and 1 together. An adder(620) adds the output of the multipliers(601,602,616) and the output the multipliers(671,672,686) and output as an AICH(Acquisition Indication CHannel) signal.
