Abstract:
A health care system and a method thereof using a mobile terminal are provided to measure the bio-signal of a user by using a sensor equipped in the mobile terminal by automatically checking whether to use the mobile terminal. A mobile terminal transmits stored bio-signal according to completing a call after storing a bio-signal measured by sensors. A health care server(110) receives the transmitted bio-signal from the mobile terminal. The health care server generates the health condition information of the user and transmits the information to the mobile terminal after extracting a feature value and analyzing the received bio-signal.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for measuring a physiology signal are provided to conveniently check health by allowing a subject to wear the apparatus in the form of a bracelet for measuring physiology indexes. An apparatus for measuring a physiology signal includes a portable wearing unit(100), a sensing unit(210), a control unit(220), and a display unit(230). The portable wearing unit(100) is formed to be worn on a first part of a body of a subject. The sensing unit(210) is adhered on the portable wearing unit(100), contacted to the first part and at least one second part, and senses a plurality of physiology signals from the first part and the second part. The control unit(220) generates a plurality of physiology indexes by analyzing each sensing signal. The display unit(230) displays the physiology indexes.
Abstract:
A multiplexing/demultiplexing apparatus of a cable broadcasting receiver is provided to correct synchronization when a data stream descrambled through a cable card is demultiplexed. A TS(Transmission Stream) receiver changes broadcasting streams of channels selected by a subscriber into data blocks of TS packets. A PID(Packet Identifier) filter identifies PID field information in headers of the TS packets outputted from the TS receiver and then outputs only packets corresponding to a program selected by a viewer and discards the remaining packets. A pre-header generator attaches a pre-header of predetermined size to a TS packet which passes through the PID filter. An LTS(Local Time Stamp) generator generates a time stamp value necessary for an LTS field of the pre-header generator. An output unit stores packets of predetermined size outputted from the pre-header generator in an FIFO(First-In First-Out) manner. An output controller prevents the packets, which is outputted from the output unit, from colliding with each other.

PURPOSE: An optical receiver module using an out-coupler is provided to improve the coupling efficiency by transferring most optical signal transmitted from a core to an optical receiver chip. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber(500) is comprised of a core(501) and a cladding(502) surrounded by the outer block of the core(501). An optical signal is transmitted to the core(501). The cladding(502) located at the end is eliminated to expose the core(501). An optical receiver chip(510) is installed on an upper portion of the optical fiber(500) in order to receive the optical signal transmitted from the core(501). An optical fiber supporting unit(530) fixes the optical fiber(500). An out-coupler(520) is installed on the optical fiber supporting unit(530) and provided with plural lattices(522) between the core(501) and the optical receiver chip(510). The exposed core(501) is inserted into the out coupler(520).

PURPOSE: A conditional access system of a digital cable broadcasting system and a receiving system and method using the conditional access system are provided to conditionally receive broadcast using DVS-167 or DOCSIS as an out-of-band channel transmission method. CONSTITUTION: A conditional access system includes a demultiplexer(322), an out-of-band channel signal processor(323), a conditional access processor(325), and a multiplexer(321). The demultiplexer receives broadcast data transmitted through an in-band channel and an ECM(Entitlement Control Message) including a control word from a subscriber receiver(310) and demultiplexes the broadcast data and the ECM. The out-of-band channel signal processor receives an EMM(Entitlement Management Message) transmitted through an out-of-band channel from the subscriber receiver and processes the EMM. The conditional access processor descrambles scrambled broadcast data using the EMC and EMM. The multiplexer multiplexes the descrambled broadcast data and provides the multiplexed broadcast data to the subscriber receiver.

PURPOSE: A system for measuring a characteristic of an optical coupler is provided to measure characteristics of the optical coupler such as an insertion loss, an excess loss, directionality, a coupling ratio, uniformity, and polarization dependant loss by using an optical switch. CONSTITUTION: A system for measuring a characteristic of an optical coupler includes a light source(10), an optical measurement portion, the first optical switch(30), the second optical switch(60), a control portion(50), and a storage portion(70). The light source is used for generating an optical signal. The first optical switch is used for connecting selectively the optical signal to an input terminal of an optical coupler and an input terminal of the second optical switch. The second optical switch is used for transmitting selectively the optical signal from an output terminal of the first optical switch and an output terminal of the optical coupler to the optical measurement portion. The control portion controls the first and the second optical signals. The storage portion stores the data of the optical measurement portion.

PURPOSE: A program and system information protocol(PSIP) converting apparatus and method and a digital cable television broadcasting system using the PSIP converting apparatus are provided to convert PSIP of ground-wave broadcast and SI protocol of satellite broadcast into PSIP in cable broadcasting format in real time. CONSTITUTION: A PSIP converting apparatus includes a protocol data extraction unit(202), a protocol data conversion unit(203), a protocol data insertion unit(204), and a system controller(207). The protocol data extraction unit demultiplexes a digital ground-wave broadcast transport stream or satellite broadcast transport stream to extract A/V data and PSIP/PSI from the ground-wave broadcast transport stream and to extract A/V data and SI/PSI data from the satellite broadcast transport stream. The protocol data conversion unit generates PSIP/PSI data in a digital cable TV broadcast format, corresponding to the extracted PSIP/PSI data or SI/PSI data. The protocol data insertion unit inserts the PSIP/PSI data in the digital cable TV broadcast format into the extracted A/V data to generate a digital cable broadcast transport stream. The system controller controls the operations of the units.
