Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some networks, such as over-deployed integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks operating in millimeter wave (mmW) bands, may experience high energy consumption if all nodes in the network are fully active at all times. Power utilization modes may mitigate energy consumption by allowing nodes to operate at varying levels of activity. A power utilization mode may include a fully active mode or may drop one or more functions that a fully active node may support, or may support less extensive configurations associated with one or more supported functions, as compared to the configurations associated with a fully active node. Nodes may request information regarding one or more nodes, request a change in power utilizations modes for itself, indicate another node should change modes, or may receive an indication to change modes.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to coordinate information across a wireless network. One or more access nodes of a wireless network may configure a time resource container for receiving, amplifying, and forwarding a signal, such as a notification signal, in an operating mode. A notification signal may include an indication of coordination information and may be transmitted or received in the time resource container, such as in a first subset of a set of time resources of the time resource container. An access node may first receive a signal from a second access node, amplify and forward the signal in the time resource container to a third access node, and then decode the received signal and determine whether the signal includes coordination information for the access node. If the signal includes coordination information for the access node, the access node may perform one or more actions.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for mobility-aware access control. A method that may be performed by a first wireless device generally includes receiving one or more signals from a second wireless device in the network, wherein the one or more signals provide an indication of a mobility state corresponding to the second wireless device; determining whether to establish a connection with the second wireless device based, at least in part, on the indication of the mobility state corresponding to the second wireless device; and taking one or more actions based on the determination. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may receive mobility state information associated with an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node. The mobility state information may include information associated with at least one of: a level of mobility of the IAB node, or a change in mobility of the IAB node. The wireless communication device may perform an operation based at least in part on the mobility state information associated with the IAB node. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that mobility state information associated with an IAB node is to be transmitted, and may transmit the mobility state information associated with the IAB node based at least in part on the determination. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which multiple different wireless resource configurations for a multiple-hop wireless network may be configured and selected to provide for efficient updates to resource configurations. A central entity may configure one or more other nodes of the network with a number of different wireless resource configurations for backhaul communications among the other nodes. A first node may receive the number of different wireless resource configurations, identify wireless resources associated with a first resource configuration that are allocated for backhaul communications, and communicate with a second node using the allocated resources. In the event that the first node determines that a different wireless resource configuration should be used for communications with the second node, the first node may select a second resource configuration from the number of different wireless resource configurations for further communications with the second node.

Abstract: A parent access node may establish a first link with a child access node. In some cases, the parent access node may determine to release a resource of the first link. The parent access node may transmit downlink signaling indicating release of the resource. The child node may schedule a child link resource corresponding to the released resource. The child node may then communicate with a child node of its own in accordance with the scheduling of the child link resource. In some cases, the resource release indication may be associated with a one-time resource release, or with a semi-persistent release (e.g., until the parent node reclaims the released resources). In some examples, the child node may transmit an uplink message to request resources from the parent node (e.g., and the resource release may be based on the request).

Abstract: A method of switching between Coherent and Non-Coherent demodulation based on computed metrics, in cases where stereo FM broadcasting stations do not adhere to RDS broadcast specifications. Re-utilizes existing hardware to demodulate RDS data in mono. The residual frequency offset is resolved using a Non Coherent demodulator and a time tracking algorithm. RDS data relies on the 57 kHz sub-carrier that is generated using 19 kHz pilot tone. In Mono broadcasting pilot tone is not present. A local 57 kHz free running signal is generated, and this is then used to demodulate the RDS data in Non-Coherent mode.

Abstract: Noise gain control within a communications receiver allows optimization of the receiver design without regard to the predetermined Automatic Gain Control set point. A noise gain controller is provided a copy of the received signal following AGC stages. A noise estimator determines the level of noise within the received signal and couples the noise level estimate to a noise gain discriminator that processes the noise level estimate to produce a gain correction factor. The gain correction factor is filtered and accumulated. The accumulated gain correction factor is used to scale the received signal. Subsequent receiver stages process the scaled received signal.
