    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn with simple process at an improved speed, by collecting and oiling melt-spun polyester fibers under a spinneret, taking up with the first godet roll having unheated mirror-polished surface, transferring to the second godet roll having satin-finished surface, and drawing between the rolls. CONSTITUTION:A polyester is melted and spun through the spinneret 1 and cooled and solidified with the cooling apparatus 3. The yarns 2a, 2b are collected and oiled with the oilers 4a, 4b under the spinneret at a distance of =4,000m/min. The yarn group is then transferred to the second godet roll 7 having satin-finished surface, drawn between the first and the second godet rolls, and wound in the form of packages 9a, 9b to obtain the objective yarn.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled composite fiber consisting of a sheath-core fiber made of two kinds of polymers having different solubilities and using the easily soluble polymer to the core and the wedge-like segment placed at the outer edge of the fiber, having high spinnability and giving a woven or knit fabric having excellent dry touch and rustling feeling. CONSTITUTION:The objective composite fiber is sheath-core fiber made of two kinds of polymers having different solubilities in a solvent such as an alkaline aqueous solution. The core part 1 and the plural wedge-like segments 2 tapered from the fiber surface to the inside and separated from the core are made of the easily soluble polymer (e.g. a blend of a polyester and a blocked polyester amide composition) and the sheath part 3 is made of an insoluble or hardly soluble polymer (e.g. polyester). It can be produced by feeding the easily soluble polymer through the central inlet port 14 and the circumferential inlet port 15 and the insoluble polymer through the groove 18 to the joining part 16 of both components and extruding the joined components through the nozzle 19.
