    Abstract: Disclosed is a bulky yarn made from a thermoplastic multifilament yarn. Each of the individual filaments forming the yarn has a randomly varying thermal shrinkage along its length. The filaments in the cross-section of the yarn also have randomly varying thermal shrinkages. The bulky yarn forms a plurality of loops having a stable and compact configuration, while the number of filament slack portions which project outwardly from the yarn surface is significantly decreased.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester-based conjugate hollow fiber of uneven thickness, capable of being woven or knitted even it is not treated, showing polygonal, hollow fiber of uneven thickness, when treated to remove the outer layer component by dissolution, the polygonal fiber having feel of span, lightness, a specific of depth of unique luster in sparkling luster, feel of dry touch, harshness and firm texture, and suitable for woven or knitted stuff for high-class clothes. SOLUTION: This fiber is a conjugate fiber composed of two types of polyester, the outer layer component dissolving at least 5 times faster than the inner layer component, wherein the inner layer component takes a polygonal, hollow shape, with outer shape being polygonal from triangle to pentagon, e.g. that shown by (a), (b) or (c), and the inner shape substantially similar to the outer shape and having a hollowness of 10 to 40%. The fiber also has uneven thickness of 2 to 9% as U value and shrinkage of 10 to 30%, with boiling water.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a blended yarn extremely rich in color developing properties, having a dry touch and soft feelings without a defect such as irritative dyeing, etc., and having an elaborate feeling as woven and knitted fabrics, and capable of forming woven and knitting fabrics having bulkiness, stiffness, resilience and draping property simultaneously and rich in high grade feeling. CONSTITUTION: This blended yarn with fibers having different shrinkages constituted by a dividing-type composite yarn of a low shrinkage yarn with a high shrinkage yarn, comprises providing the divided segment of the dividing-type composite yarn consisting of a basic dye dyeable polymer having 0.05-0.5d fiber thickness, a divided component polymer having hot water-soluble properties, the high shrinkage yarn having 4-10d monofilament thickness, the number of filaments of the dividing-type composite yarn having >=4 times of the number of filaments of the high shrinkage yarn and the number of divided segments having >=20 times of the number of filaments of the high shrinkage yarn. By making the polymer sequences constituting the blended yarn to a higher degree or the shape of cross sections of the high shrinkage yarn to a higher modification, high dignity and high quality woven and knitted fabrics having further soft and light specific touch feeling, etc., are obtained.
