PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder cup spray gun with which color exchange can be implemented quickly and smoothly.SOLUTION: At a rear end, a powder cup spray gun has an injector 2, a powder cup 3 and a receptacle for the powder cup 3. The powder inlet of the injector 2 is connected to the receptacle. The powder cup 3 and the receptacle are configured such that the powder cup 3 can be fitted into the receptacle. In addition, a grip 1.1 including a connection part 5 for conveying air, a connection part for atomizing air, and a connection part 6 for metering air is provided. The connection part 5 for the conveying air and the connection part 6 for the metering air are connected to the injector 2 via piping 18 extending in the grip 1.1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for purging a flow path for coating materials within the apparatus for coating materials such as a manual spray gun. SOLUTION: According to the method and the apparatus for purging a manual spray gun or an apparatus for coating materials, purged air is introduced into the apparatus through a handle part that is held by hand during coating. First, purged air enters the handle part and then enters a flow path for coating materials. A method and an apparatus for controlling a handle spray gun can contain a second manual trigger that is arranged on the spray gun handle. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray apparatus with which uniformly satisfactory or improved efficiency can be realized as to influence on a coating material spray flow, coating quality, and the amount of the coating material required for the coating by using a small amount of forming air per unit time. SOLUTION: The spray apparatus for a coating material, in particular for coating powder contains: a spray outlet (4) spraying the coating material; a shaping air outlet (10) in the form of a plurality of holes (14) for shaping spray jet (8); and an ambient-air passage (50) radially configured between the spray outlet (4) and the holes (14) to aspirate the ambient air by means of the flow suction effect of the spray jet (8) and/or the shaping air flow (11). Abstract:
An apparatus for spraying powder coating material includes a rotatable turret which moves articles to and from a work station. A powder spray gun is operable to spray a pattern onto each of the articles in turn while the article is at the work station. The powder flows through the spray gun as a series of pulses. A diverter assembly is operable to divert a portion of each pulse of powder away from the nozzle to more sharply define the pulse. An excess powder collector draws a flow of powder away from the work station. A virgin powder container supplies powder to a powder collector container which supplies powder to a powder feed container which supplies powder to the spray gun. Sensors associated with the virgin, collector and feed containers ensure that a predetermined quantity of powder is maintained in each container. During transport of powder from the virgin and collector containers, the containers and their associated pumps are vibrated to facilitate the flow of powder. The powder spray gun is mounted on a three axis adjustment assembly to enable the powder spray gun nozzle to be accurately positioned relative to an article at the work station.
