    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by putting the tip of a pin on a male die end, heating a formed contact region with the energy fed through the pin, cooling it, retracting the pin in the opposite direction to the pressing pressure, and extracting a punch rivet from a workpiece. SOLUTION: A lug 20 at the tip of a pin 18 is coupled with the recess 21 of a male die end 15. The pin 18 is lifted for several msec to generate an arc, and both surfaces are fused and welded in a contact region 30. The pin 18 is lowered to the fused portion to cool it, and a strong junction is formed. A pad member 22 is mounted on the metal sheet 12 of a workpiece, then the pin 18 is pulled to remove a punch rivet 14 from the rivet junction. Metal sheets 12, 13 are not deformed at least in the region near the pad member 22 during this process. When the punch rivet 14 is completely removed, two metal sheets 12, 13 are separated from each other, and the punch rivet 14 is stuck to the pin 18.

SOLUTION: A plunger 4 and a lower holding device 5 are driven through a transmission unit 2. The transmission unit 2 converts the rotating motion of a driving unit 1 into the parallel motion of the plunger 4 or the lower holding device 5. An electric motor can be employed for the drive unit 1, and the relative excellent control can be achieved by converting the rotating motion of the driving unit 1 into the parallel motion of the plunger 4. The different plunger speed can be achieved by the process control.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reaction as recognized by a golfer constant by taking the balance of one set of clubs to gain a harmonized stability between different inertial moment torsion of the individual clubs in the set. SOLUTION: A shaft 12 is made of steel. An intermediate section 22 thereof comprises a plurality of zones 22a-22n with the diameter thereof gradually decreasing toward the tip end 20 from a butt end 16. A bulge 24 is formed on the shaft 12 near the end of the internal side of the tip 20 thereof. Three cylindrical step faces 30, 32 and 34 are formed at one end of the central cylinder section 26 of the bulge 24 and three cylindrical step faces 36, 38 and 40 at the opposite end in the direction of the axis of the central cylinder section 26. The diameter of the central section 26 is larger than the diameter of a part immediately adjacent thereto of the shaft 12. The diameter of respective sets of three step faces at both ends of the central section 26, that is, the step faces 30, 32 and 34 at one end and the step faces 36, 38 and 40 at the other end become gradually larger than that of the parts adjacent thereto of the shaft but are smaller than the diameter of the central section 26 itself.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle which enables parts to take a prescribed position surely and also reliably in a receiving chamber. SOLUTION: The receptacle is provided with a receiving body 1, in which a receiving chamber 2 is formed for accepting parts 15. A feed duct 3 for feeding the parts 15 to the receiving chamber 2 is formed in communication with the chamber 2. The chamber 2 is connected to a transporting duct, which extends nearly vertically to the feed duct 3.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the accuracy of fitting by measuring drawing force of a fitting tool and displacement of a drawing shaft, and obtaining the full energy of a fitting process, and comparing the obtained full energy with an ideal full energy. SOLUTION: A sensor provided in a tool 12 measures the drawing force of a drawing shaft 40 so as to obtain the serial force value, and measures the axial displacement of the drawing shaft 40 so as to obtain the serial displacement value. These values are read at the initial time, and the force versus displacement curve is formed. An integrator 86 utilizes the read value of the selected force versus displacement so as to compute the area of the force versus displacement curve, and integrates this curve so as to obtain the real value of the tool energy of the fitting process. The real energy value is compared with an ideal full energy in relation to the fitting of a rivet 14, which is obtained by an experiment, and quality of the responsiveness of the reference curve is showed so as to show the tolerance of rivet fitting. Accuracy of rivet fitting can be thereby perfectly and securely confirmed.

SOLUTION: One end 20 of a sleeve 21 has an inner surface taper 22, and one end 23 of a mandrel 24 is provided with an enlarged-diameter head 25 and a breaking neck part 26. A taper 27 is provided between the breaking neck part 26 and the enlarged-diameter head, and the diameter of the mandrel is decreased toward the enlarged-diameter head 25. During fitting, the mandrel head passes the rivet sleeve unitl workpiece parts are collected, and when the fitting load is increased, not being moved outward, the rivet material below the mandrel is moved inward to fill up a clearance gap below the mandrel head. Since the mandrel head part is tapred, the remaining part of the mandrel head is efficiently locked to form resistance to push out.

SOLUTION: After assembling a washer 6 on a mandrel 8 between the head 16 of a rivet main body 14 and the head 10 of the mandrel 8 and installing the rivet main body 14 to a base plate 42, a workpiece 40 is arranged on the assembly 2. Then, when the mandrel 8 is screwed in the rivet main body 14, a finger 30 is pushed to the outside radially, as the head 10 being pushed toward the workpiece 40 and the workpiece 40 is fixed to a prescribed position. When the mandrel 8 is perfectly tightened, the finger 30 holds the workpiece 40 for the head 16 firmly. Thereby, the workpiece 40 can be installed to the base plate 42 removably and easily.
