PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for allocating resources using a codebook based on resource size and burst size in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to configure resource allocation information based on a codebook which indicates the sizes of a burst and the resource of limited range. CONSTITUTION: A base station confirms the identifier information of terminals within a group configuration message(304), and the terminals confirm the resource size codebook generation information and the burst size codebook generation information in the group configuration message(305). The base station transfers a group resource allocation message to the terminals with DL(DownLink) data(308), and the terminals analyze the resource allocation bitmap and the resource allocation bitmap in the group resource allocation message(310).

PURPOSE: A HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) operation method in a wireless mobile communication system is provided to minimize the power consumption by reducing the number of subframes. CONSTITUTION: A transmission stage transmits the data burst allocation information and the DL data burst in a first DL(Down Link) subframe(300) of i-th frame. A reception stage transmits the HARQ feedback through the UL frequency bandwidth in a fifth UL(Up Link) subframe of i-th frame. The transmission stage retransmits the data burst according to the HARQ feedback from a first DL subframe(320) of i+1-th frame.

PURPOSE: A system and a method for assigning transmission power in a wireless communication system based on reusing a partial frequency are provided to enable neighboring cells to perform power control in different time, thereby minimizing interference of the neighboring cell. CONSTITUTION: A pre-scheduler(508) checks a power control period for minimizing interference change between neighboring cells. A power distribution controller(502) controls surplus power according to reusing frequency at the power control period. The power control period considers about reusing the frequency so that power control period between adjacent cells will be different. The power distribution controller repetitively conducts about controlling surplus power according to reusing the frequency so that renewing the surplus power.

CONSTITUTION: In a apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a signal based on a hybrid automatic repeat request scheme in a wireless mobile communication system, a mobile station(350) reports the capacity of a base station(300). The capability is determined by a supportable channel coding method or MIMO(Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) or HARQ method. The channel coding schemes include a convolution coding, a convolution turbo coding, low density parity check, and a block truncation coding. A base station calculates a threshold determining a specific retransmission delay, and a data burst transmission time interval and an operation interlace form are inducted based on the calculated threshold(310).

A frequency reuse apparatus in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to configure neighboring frequency bands in different channel structures, thereby reducing collision probability between channels with a neighboring cell. A transmission resource is comprised of one or more resource reuse pieces(201). One or more resource reuse pieces are resources allocated to each resource reuse piece. Environment information of a cell or a sector for allocating resources of the resource reuse pieces is checked(203). A resource reuse rate of each resource reuse piece is controlled according to the environment information of the cell or the sector(205,207). The transmission resource is one among a frequency resource, time and code resources, and frequency and time resources.

An apparatus and a method for transmitting CQI in communication systems are provided to reduce the feedback amount of the CQI and minimize the reduction of whole system capability by applying ARQ(Automatic Repeat reQuest) based on AMC(Adaptive Modulation and Coding). In a method for transmitting CQI(Channel Quality Information) of mobile stations in communication systems, a channel state is decided(601). At this time, when mobile stations transmit a reception message to a base station, a channel state is decided as good. When the mobile stations transmit a non-reception message to the base station, a channel state is decided as bad. A band corresponding to the decided channel state is selected(603). A CQI is generated based on the selected band(605). The generated CQI is transmitted to the base station(607).

본 발명은 상향 링크의 전체 주파수 대역을 M개의 서브대역들로 분할하는 광대역 무선통신시스템에서 랜덤 억세스 채널(Random Access Channel) 신호를 송수신하기 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 송신기 장치는, 억세스 코드를 발생하는 생성기와, 상기 생성기로부터의 억세스 코드를 상기 M개의 서브블록들로 분할하고, 상기 M개의 서브블록들의 각각을 대응되는 서브대역의 소정 인접된 부반송파들에 할당하여 출력하는 부반송파 할당기와, 상기 부반송파 할당기로부터의 데이터를 역 고속 푸리에 변환(IFFT : Inverse Fourier Transform)하여 OFDM심벌을 출력하는 IFFT처리기와, 상기 IFFT처리기로부터의 상기 OFDM심벌의 소정 앞부분을 반복해서 랜덤억세스채널 신호를 생성하는 반복기를 포함한다. 이와 같은 본 발명은, 상향링크 신호의 TOA 및 수신전력 추정 성능을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 각 서브대역의 채널 품질도 어느 정도 정확하게 추정할수 있으므로, OFDMA 시스템에서의 상향링크 DCA(Dynamic Channel Allocation)를 용이하게 적용할 수 있는 이점이 있다. A ranging device in a communication system and a method thereof are provided to carry out a ranging process through one symbol section in the communication system, thereby reducing the use of resources used for an initial ranging process while performing the initial ranging process through the one symbol section. A ranging code for a ranging process with a base station is generated, and the generated code is mapped with at least one sub-carrier to have a structure in which the ranging code is repeated in a time domain(801-805). A ranging signal is generated to have size of one symbol section for the mapped code, and the generated ranging signal is transmitted to the base station(807-811). The ranging process refers to an initial ranging process.
