    Abstract: The present invention relates to the structure of an exhaust pipe for recovering exhaust heat including a housing unit which is connected to the exhaust pipe to exhaust the exhaust gas sent from the front side to the rear side and which includes a first nipple where cooling water flows in, and a second nipple where the cooling water is discharged; and heating pipes having different diameters which are joined to each other and mounted inside the housing unit to open the first and second nipples inside the housing unit to form a plurality of layers of cooling water passages where the cooling water flows through. Layers of exhaust gas passages where the exhaust gas flows through are formed between the adjoining cooling water passages. The first nipple is arranged on the rear side of the second nipple. The present invention can increase the efficiency of heat exchange as a flowing direction of the cooling water is opposite to that of the exhaust gas. The cooling water flows in from the lower side of the housing unit and is discharged to the upper side of the housing unit so that the cooling water of which density is decreased by heating can flow more smoothly inside the housing unit. One side of the heating pipe is in contact with the exhaust gas, and the other side thereof is in contact with the cooling water so that heat is exchanged. Furthermore, the heat exchange area is increased without increasing the size of the housing unit as a corrugated portion is formed on the surface of the heating pipe so that the present invention can rapidly heat the cooling water. The baffles are fixed at certain intervals in the longitudinal direction of the silencer housing . An inlet portion of the exhaust gas inflow pipe is connected to the silencer by penetrating through the front side of the silencer housing and an outlet portion of the exhaust gas inflow pipe is placed in the silencer hosing by penetrating through the baffles. The inlet portion of the intermediate pipe is placed in one chamber(12) divided by the baffle with the outlet portion of the exhaust gas inflow pipe. The exhaust gas passing through the intermediate pipe is discharged through the exhaust gas outflow pipe to the outside of the silencer housing. The inlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe and the outlet portion of the intermediate pipe are placed in the same chamber. The outlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe is protruded to the outside of the silencer housing to prevent with the exhaust gas discharge direction of the outlet portion of the exhaust gas outflow pipe from according with the inflow direction of the exhaust gas.
