    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for coating at least one geometrically defined surface of an optical article's substrate, without generating optical defects, said surface forming a Fresnel lens (2), comprising: providing a removable plastic carrier (4) having a specific thickness and a specific base curvature, depositing a curable coating composition (3) onto either the at least one surface forming a Fresnel lens or the internal surface of the carrier, moving the carrier and the optical article relatively to each other to bring the deposited curable coating composition into contact with either the at least one surface forming a Fresnel lens or the internal surface of the carrier, applying a specific pressure onto the external surface of the carrier to spread out the curable coating composition so as to cover said at least one surface forming a Fresnel lens, curing the layer of curable coating composition and withdrawing the removable carrier.

    Abstract: Procedimiento para aplicar una película revestida o sin revestir sobre por lo menos una superficie de un sustrato de lente que comprende las siguientes etapas: (a) proporcionar un sustrato de lente que presenta unas superficies principales; (b) proporcionar una película revestida o sin revestir; (c) formar, o bien en una superficie de la película revestida o sin revestir o bien en una de dichas superficies del sustrato de lente una capa de un látex seco; (d) depositar por lo menos una gota de un líquido de activación a base de agua en dicha superficie principal del sustrato de lente, o bien una superficie de la película revestida o sin revestir, o bien una superficie expuesta de la capa de látex seco; (e) desplazar relativamente entre sí la película revestida o sin revestir y el sustrato de lente y aplicar una fuerza suficiente a la película revestida o sin revestir para extender el líquido de activación a base de agua y formar una lámina delgada de dicho líquido de activación a base de agua entre la capa de látex seco y o bien el sustrato de lente o bien la película revestida o sin revestir; (f) calentar la película delgada del líquido de activación a base de agua y la capa de látex seco; (g) liberar la fuerza aplicada; y (h) recuperar el sustrato de lente estando la película revestida o sin revestir adherida a la superficie principal del sustrato de lente.
