Abstract: The belt (12) comprises three parts. The first part is a belt made from a first material (13), a thermoplastic. The second is a tensile load-bearing reinforcement (14) of single- or stranded steel wires, embedded in the first part. The third part is a second belt (15) made of a second material. The first material is polyamide (PA), polyethylene (PE), polycarbonate (PC), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a polyblend containing one of these, or a fabric of one of these materials. The first material has a minimum yield stress in accordance with DIN 53455 or ISO 527 of 45 N/mm 2>, a minimal elongation at rupture in accordance with the same standards, of 45%, and a minimum ball indentation hardness in accordance with DIN 53456 or ISO 2039 (H358/30) of 70N/mm 2>. All foregoing measurements are made at room temperature. Thickness of the first part is preferably 30% at most, of the overall belt thickness. The second part has a traction area working with a drive wheel of the elevator plant, which is ribbed. It has a defined coefficient of friction, preferably higher or lower than that of the second material. The second material is an elastomer, especially polyurethane (PU), polychloroprene (CR) and/or ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM). The Shore A hardness of the second material at room temperature is preferably less than 85. The ridges have trapezoidal or V-profiles with an essentially rectangular base section between the contact sections and the first part. They comprise at least 25% of the height of the second part. The base sections are separated by intermediate spaces. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the method of manufacture.

Abstract: A load transporting apparatus includes a movable traction device connected with the load and having a section in contact with at least one roller in order to guide the traction device. The roller has a coating on a carrier for contact with the traction device section. A coefficient of friction between the traction device and the coating is less than the corresponding coefficient of friction for contact between the traction device and the carrier. The coating reduces or avoids, on movement of the traction device relative to the roller, torsion of the traction device about a longitudinal axis and/or deformation of the traction device transversely to the direction of movement, particularly in the case of movement of the traction device obliquely with respect to the longitudinal direction thereof, and reduces the sensitivity of the traction device to wear, particularly when the traction means is under diagonal tension.

Abstract: A suspension belt end connector has first and second wrapping elements that are arranged in a housing. The housing may have a back wall, side walls and an open side opposite to the back wall. The side walls taper and form with the back wall and a yoke a suspension unit to accommodate a suspension bolt. The end connector supports a poly V belt which serves as a suspension element. The belt is laid around the first wrapping element in a first loop, around the second wrapping element in a second loop, and again around the first wrapping element in a third loop that runs opposite to the first loop. The end of the belt is then held fast by means of a clamp or wedging device. Ribs of the first and third loops mutually engage, as a result of which the coefficient of friction in the engaged section of the belt is increased.

Abstract: A mounting set for mounting on a lift cage (14) of a lift installation is disclosed. The mounting set comprises of at least one guide shoe (12), at least one standard slide insert (3) with standard slide zone, at least one mounting slide insert (13) with mounting slide zone. The mounting slide zone of the mounting slide insert (13) consists of a material different from that of the standard slide zone of the standard slide insert. The material of the mounting slide zone has a greater hardness than the material of the guide rail (11). The material and surface configuration of the mounting slide zone of the mounting slide insert (13) is selected so that during movement of the lift cage (14), along the guide rail (11) of the lift installation, a cleaning action at the guide rail (11) results. The mounting slide insert (13) is for temporary use during construction and is replaced by the standard slide insert (3) for normal operation.

Abstract: The lift system comprises drive unit propelled by driving wheel, and a lift carrier unit, which carries lift cage. The rib arrangement has two ribs (13) extending in longitudinal direction of the carrier unit. The rib arrangement has a traction carrier arrangement with traction carriers (14) arranged in the ribs, which are fastened to the carrier band. A groove (16) is formed between the two adjacent ribs of the rib arrangement and reaches up to the carrier band. The ribs have a contact section (13.1) with a trapezoidal cross-section arranged to corresponding grooves of the driving wheel in interference, and a base section (13.2) with a rectangular-shaped cross section arranged between the contact section and the carrier band. The traction carriers are arranged in the ribs and contact the carrier band. The traction carriers are formed as low-end wire and/or are built from stranded wire made of steel and/or plastic wires. The ribs are made of a first material with a hardness of 80-85 shore (A), and a wedge-shaped and/or trapezoidal-shaped cross section with a flank angle of 80-100[deg] . The carrier band is made of a second material. Independent claims are included for: (1) a lift carrier unit for lift system; and (2) a production method for lift-carrier unit.
