PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic fiber rope for avoiding the breakage of a fixed link. SOLUTION: The rope of synthetic fibers 30 has two ropes 31, 32 consisting of synthetic fiber filaments 35-37. The ropes 31, 32 are arranged at a distance from each other along the longitudinal direction and fixed with a rope cover 33. The rope cover 33 extends in the longitudinal direction of the rope of the synthetic raw material 30 and has the fixed link between the two ropes 31, 32. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fixing points for fixing a cable, and an elevator having the fixing points for cable ends and transporting a load carrier by the cable movable in a longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: The cable fixing points 12, 13 comprise cable end fastenings 50 for cable ends 7', 7'' of the cable 7, and rotary mounting parts 40 for the cable end fastenings, wherein each rotary mounting part allows the rotation 46 of the cable end fastenings around an axis L, and the axis can be aligned with a tension force F applied to the cable. The fixing points are used for fixing one end of the cable, and the cable at the cable end is disposed under the tension force, the direction α of which is variable according to the position of the load carrier. The cable is rotatable at the cable fixing points around the axis L aligned in each direction of tension force and/or in the respective longitudinal directions of cable segments 7.1, 7.5 adjoining the cable fixing points. SOLUTION: This drivable support or traction means has at least one layer of strands of a synthetic fiber material and an outer casing for enclosing the strands, wherein a lubricant is selectively incorporated in the support or traction means so that the strands are lubricated to be relatively transferred to each other and to have a specified frictional coefficient. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator for transporting load by guiding a traction means moved to transport load by as gentle manner as possible. SOLUTION: A device for transporting load includes the movable traction means 50 connected with load. A part of the traction means 50 is brought into contact with at least one roller 40 to guide the traction means. The roller includes coating 42 and a carrier 41 of coating, and the traction means 50 can be brought into contact with the coating 42. Coefficient of friction of contact between the traction means 50 and the coating 42 is smaller than corresponding coefficient of friction of contact between the traction means 50 and the carrier 41. The invention relates to a belt (43) with at least two fibre strands (41) which have synthetic fibre threads twisted in themselves and are designed for acceptance of force in longitudinal direction. The strands (41) are arranged at a spacing relative to one another along the longitudinal direction of the belt (43) and embedded in a belt casing (45). At least one of the strands (41) comprises an electrically conductive indicator thread (44) which is twisted together with the synthetic fibre threads of the strand (41), wherein the indicator thread (44) is arranged outside the centre of the fibre bundle (41). The indicator thread (44) has a breaking elongation (.epsilon.ult,lnd) which is smaller than the breaking elongation (.epsilon.ult,Trag) of individual synthetic fibre threads of the strand (41). It can be electrically contacted so that an electrical monitoring of the integrity thereof is made possible.

A rope apparatus includes two ropes of synthetic fiber strands arranged for taking up force applied in a lengthwise direction. The ropes are arranged a predetermined distance apart and are fixed by a rope sheathing forming a fixed link running in the lengthwise direction between the two ropes.
