A rotating phase detection output is obtained from the magnetic head 10 and this is applied to a phase comparison circuit 7 via a wave shape circuit 11. The comparison output from the circuit 7 is applied to an amplifier 13 through a control circuit 12, the amplified output is applied to the drum motor 14 for phase control.
