    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a material stable in electret performance for a long time and excellent in moldability by a method wherein the material is made to be a polypropylene mole wherein 5 to 70 pts.wt. of petroleum resin containing no polar group is blended based on 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene. CONSTITUTION:After a polypropylene mold is formed of polypropylene resin wherein 5 to 70 pts.wt. of petroleum resin containing no polar group is blended based on 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene, the mold is subjected to electret treatment. Less than 5 pts.wt. of the petroleum resin does not exhibit sufficient improvement effect of electret treatment and function for lowing fiber forming temperature is unpreferably small. More than 70 pts.wt. is not preferable because good fiber formation of polypropylene deteriorates and the propylene mold is likely to be friable. Thus an electret material having high trap charge amount and stable for a long time and excellent in moldability can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a packaging method and packaging material by which the original freshness can be kept well for a long period of time at the time of packaging perishable foods by a method wherein a substance with water absorbing property is brought into contact with a part of an article to be packed, and further they are packaged by a specific electret material which has polarized electric charges with mutually different polarities on the front and rear surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A part of an article to be packaged 1 such as fish meat, etc., is covered by a sheet shaped substance 2 with water absorbing property. Further, both the article to be packaged 1 and the sheet shaped substance 2 with water absorbing property are packaged by an electret material 3 which has polarized electric charges with mutually different polarities on the front and rear surfaces. The substance with water absorbing property absorbs water content such as meat juice which the article to be packaged has, and the electret material generates an electric field around it and suppresses the propagation of bacteria and mold, etc. For the electret material, a flexible sheet shaped substance such as a film or unwoven fabric, etc., is preferable. As an electric charge quantity which is charged to the electret material, it is preferable that the surface electric charge density is higher than 1X10 coulomb/cm . For the substance with water absorbing property, a sheet shaped one is easiest to use.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a filter and to facilitate production of the filter by building layers of bulky upstream side nonwoven fabric having high weight and layers of down steam side electret nonwoven fabric folded to form crests and valleys with fine constituting fibers, in lamination. CONSTITUTION:Bulky nonwoven fabric layers 1-3 at an upstream side are built in layers in a direction substantially facing oppositely to the direction A of the flow of a fluid. An electret nonwoven cloth 4 folded recurrently to form crests and valleys interposing separators 7 is disposed to the down stream side of the nonwoven fabric 1-3, and filter elements are formed by bonding end part of each nonwoven cloth layer 1-4 to an inside coated surface of each frame material 5 integrally. In this case, pressure drop is kept low by using the nonwoven fabric layers 1-3 having >=60% pore volume, and an electret nonwoven cloth having =75% pore volume, and >=1.0X10 coulomb/cm surface charge density, is used on one hand.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently remove remaining toner with less damages to the surface of a photosensitive or dielectric body, by rotating a brush made of electret fibers and removing the remaining toner sticking to the surface to be cleaned. CONSTITUTION:The toner 3 remaining on a surface 2 to be cleaned rotating in the direction A is removed by electret fibers 5 planted in a brush 4. The removed toner flies high in the air and is led to a suction port 8. The toner 3 led to the suction port 8 is removed by means of a filter, etc., in the direction C and the toner sticking to the electret fibers 5 is beaten down by a flicker bar 8 and led to the suction port 8 where the toner is removed in the direction C. The surface charges of the electret fibers 5 are positive and negative and electrically attract the toner. Therefore, an extremely high cleaning effect can be obtained and, at the same time, damages to the surface to be cleaned, namely, to the surface of a photosensitive or dielectric body can be minimized. As a result, the printability and printing speed can be improved and the life of the photosensitive or dielectric body can be prolonged.
